Probably all about his contacts in politics both locally and nationally. I know we have had planning permission problems in the past and I would think he would be a big help with that sort of thing. I'm also a big believer in improving the public transport links to the ground (make the old Shields to Sunderland rail link part of the Metro: extend the Metro to both banks of the Wear creating a loop like on Tyneside; better bus links to Sunderland, that sort of thing.) Bit of a dream of mine to see the catchment area for the Club increasing in the hope in time we can have a viable need to extend the ground.
Well he was down Bolton supporting the lads on Saturday! But seriously I think he is there as to promote our image both nationally and internationally: what that entails on a day to day basis I couldn't answer.
I heard on the grapevine that he was looking at gaining us potential shirt sponsorships in the middle east and asia. Bye bye tombola hello Fly Emirates?
Don't tease now I hate having Tombola splashed across the front of my shirt so ****ing cheap and tacky.
He could help with the postage problem at the Kenya end, use some political clout to avoid the stupid massive payments at that end. Sposored by Kenya airways....... not sure if they would have any money either
Yes that was the story I’d read (been fed) with the emphasis on international I'd say it’s not what he's there to do but probably what he does do........
My son plays for the acadmey and i have heard from numerous sources down there it is to do with the planning permission we still don't have for the indoor pitches. Where is Milibands constituency ? and where is the AOL ? Hmmmm !
It's OK - I've already had a chat with your mate in the Vatican, and he tells me that it's all down to the pressure of your fame. No problem - you can have a long chill soon when your two month long rest starts!
Oh... Sorry, I'm feeling exceptionally ******ed today! No that Healy, he was a canny player, why did we sell him...
