Alright ladies, missed all of today's action but I think I said somewhere that Tidal Bay was overpriced at 5s. Not cracker worthy but I'll award myself a . Anyway, tell me about the race. Did Flemenstar simply not stay? Tidal Bay's put in two serious performances this season, imagine if he'd been with Nicholls for the last 3 or 4 years!!
Nice one Ek. You really need to watch it George but in short Flemenstar cruised through the race till finding nothing after the last. Ruby conjured a hell of a run to get Tidal Bay up in the shadow of the post coming between horses. SDC stayed on well to be a very close fourth but made mny errors en route.
Great to see the good people of the forum had not took an eye off the racing for the xmas period and studied hard for their selections today. It looks like it payed off...!!! Just simply brilliant by the lads... Well done to all who scored in the win column... Great stuff, keep it up...
Brlliant pick Wyward.....I didnt help with that one.........dont forget your free bet on Sunday now ;-)
Cheers Stick, as soon as Sporting Life have a replay I will watch! Shame for Flemenstar if he doesn't stay because where does he go from here? Sprinter Sacre nailed on for the Champion Chase and likewise Cue Card in the Ryanair......
I put a tip up for tomorrow a half hour ago and it has halved in price......cant be you guys as nobody has even looked at it yet!!!!! Flemenstar would give Cue Card plenty to think about in the Ryanair!
Evening guys. An amusing little postscript to this. As I posted last night the Tote only system had crashed when I was trying to strike my bet. I rang it through and was told that the systems were down but not to worry as they were taking all the bets down manually. I have just logged in to the Totesport site to find that I have twice the amount of money that I should have. It seems my online bet was successful after all. I was on twice without knowing. You need a fair amount of luck in this game and I think I have had all mine on one day. What a happy day! Well done to the many winners on here today. Too many to mention on a simply stunning day!
Well done Wayward Anyone seen Casey's comments re Cheltenham targets? Someone's trying to get a better price for the Ryanair me thinks.
Flemenstar heading for Hennessy Flemenstar is likely to be given another chance over Leopardstown's three-mile course in the Hennessy Gold Cup following his brave third in the Lexus Chase. After travelling keenly throughout, Peter Casey's seven-year-old hit the front two from home but tired on the run up to the line and was collared by Tidal Bay and First Lieutenant. Casey said: "Andrew (Lynch) said he pulled too hard. Maybe it would have been better if he had gone off in front. "I don't think it was too far for him today. He boiled over a little bit. We had a job putting a saddle on him and he wasn't settled. "Andrew said we'll have to go for the Hennessy and you have to do what the jockey says." Mouse Morris was thrilled with the performance of First Lieutenant, saying: "I was delighted with that. He won't go to the Hennessy. He'll have a break and will go straight to Cheltenham for the Gold Cup." Good, will mean we get a decent price on SILVINIANO CONTI
I do not rate horses just because they are trained by a certain trainer, I never rated Punchestowns nor did I rate Barbers shop, 2 Henderson hype horses. I rate horses on form and Sir Des Champs form is average at best, in comparison to Bobs Worth or Long Runs. He will not get anywhere near either and he would be 50/1 for the Gold Cup if he was trained by joe bloggs instead of Willie Mullins
