Just read on BBC sport that these two believe Fergie should have been punished for his rants during the Newcastle game. In truth I wish Wenger would stay out of it but I guess premier league managers are fed up of the double standards by the F.A when it comes to punishing Fergie.
He has been punished before and other managers have got away with similar things before. I wish people would stop with this bullshit about favouritism and the FA being scared of Sir Alex and just realise that the FA are and always have been stupidly inconsistent.
Maybe a more sensible response would have been to agree with the ridiculous unfounded theories from the same boring old simple minded gimps who always claim there is some hidden conspiracy in favour of Man Utd? November 2008 - Sir Alex received a 2 match touchline ban and fine for a row with Mike Dean November 2009 - Sir Alex received a 2 match touchline ban and fine for comments about Alan Wiley March 2011 - Sir Alex received a 5 match touchline ban for criticism of Mark Atinkson May 2011 - Sir Alex was charged for praising referee Howard Webb A quick internet search brings up those incidences of Sir Alex facing punishment for this actions. So much for him saying whatever he likes without repercussions.
The thing that bugs me is that mug Mike Dean sent Wenger to the stands at Old Trafford for just kicking a water bottle, and yet he allows Fergie get away with a foul mouth rant at not only him, but also his assistants. Just ****ing pathetic.
I really think this whole thing has been blown out of proportion by the media, with many rival fans following along like sheep. Sir Alex said he was merely asking the referee and linesman why they had allowed the goal and if you watch footage from the match it appears that's all it was. He wasn't right up in their face, he wasn't persistent with it and he didn't act threateningly towards them. The media have made a mountain out of a molehill, as usual.
Why didn't he have his word with them before they walked out for the 2nd half?, he made sure his rant was in front of 60k+ utd fans that were baying for their blood. Clearly bullying scare tactics.
He did all those things. He was in full rant mode and even lost his chewing gum in the process. And this is just a little snippet. He went after Dean, the four official and the linesman.
Did he do this throughout the match? No. Did he touch/push the officials? No. Did he swear or use abusive language? No-one knows except Sir Alex and the officials themselves. People are balling their eyes out and are in uproar over something so small. You see managers shouting at the officials in every ****ing match and people normally say nothing about it.
i cant stand bacon face but even i dont buy into this "fergie gets special treatment " rubbish . No he dont. Pardew is almost as big a knobhead .
Why does it have to be throughout the match? Before the second half started he targeted three of the officials and he should have been sent off. Especially when he went back to the linesman again after ranting at Dean and the fourth official. Only Fergie could have got away with ranting at three match officials in the space of five minutes.
I really hate this line from Fergie in his interview with the BBC: So because Pardew has sought help from Fergie in the past, he can't call him out or criticise him? It makes you wonder how many manager's he has black-mailed or intimidated in the past because of 'the help' he has given them. The guy certainly has authority in the game and uses it to strengthen his hand.
Watch any match any week during the season and you will see the managers and/or coaching staff of both sides giving the officials are earful. Then go and look for media reports calling for the managers to be punished and you won't find anything.
Not a big fan of Wenger, but fair play to him for coming out on this one. The man says and does as he pleases without retribution.
Unless you want to show me examples, I can't recall the last time a manager ranted at the referee, the fourth assistant and the linesman in a five minute spell and did not get sent off.
gross coming from 2 managers who are worst than sir Alex when it come to harrasing refs .. both shouting on officials at every decision and one of them even pushed one official to the ground while unahppy about one decision... hhh world is really full of hypocrites
