Both feet and studs go right through Anita's ankle though.

Maybe, but then again on another day Simpson could of seen a straight red for his reckless challenge on Evans' shoulder because he was really late and led with the studs, it could of easily been seen as dangerous play, Collocini was also lucky not to give a penalty away for an incident that was more obvious than the handball Evans got booked for.

Doubtful, both players slid in(don't why Simpson did, idiotic and late) so Simpson deserved a yellow. Cannot give a penalty for a handball outside the box, surprised it wasn't a free kick though.

A game full of controversy where a few players(and manager) could have been sent off on another day.

Simpson was very late though, Evans had took the ball before he even lifted his studs, I've definitely seen plenty of red cards given for less. The Collocini one is up for debate, his trailing foot was certainly outside the box but his front foot (and the arm that the ball hit) wasn't so it could of gone either way, but it should of been a foul and, if the ref was being consistent, a yellow card.

Going to have a heart attack one of these days with the way United are defending and letting in so many goals. We were abysmal in the first half if i am to be honest and i think it took us something like 20 minutes to get our first shot in which for us is shocking considering we were at home.

Newcastle also were missing some of their best players such as Tiote, Ben Arfa and Taylor so i dread to think what would have happened if they were playing. De Gea had a shocker for the first goal and should have parried the ball out further so that won't do his confidence any good but Carrick has to take some blame for not controlling the ball properly in the lead up to their first goal.

Starting to get very concerned at the state of our defence so Fergie and the team need to work on it and i hope Vidic starts the West Brom game.

A win is a win and it was just a typical come back from us but we can't keep on conceding goals for fun.

Fergie was shambles, I felt ashamed by his actions. A ban is more than deserved for someone of his stature to just not think before doing anything like that. Ya, gave another opportunity for ABUs and Fergie-time advocates to have a rant again.
Having said that, refereeing has been shameful this season. Maybe Fergie thought, enough is enough, since him being a virtual parton of the Premier League, he must have thought it was his responsibility to do something about it. It worked haha.

"He is the worst for haranging referees. His whole staff, every game. He was at it the whole game on Wed."

"He shoves a ref then makes a joke of it, then he's got the cheek to criticise me. It's unbelievable. He forgets the help I've given him, by the way."

Fergie says focus on spat with Dean is price of being at "most famous club in world" not a "wee club in the north-east like Newcastle"

Wow hahah, has he came out with comments like this before? (part from on the likes of Liverpool/ City)

Something has riled him up big time.

Good on Fergie. You have to defend against such nonsense. He didn't insult the guy he was just talking to him. Pardew and his crew did far worse.

The funny thing about Pardew saying Fergie should be punished is that he and his staff were doing exactly the same thing when they thought the goal was being ruled out, they were really giving the officials a good ear bashing until Dean gave the goal, they all surrounded the official when they wanted a red card for the Valencia challenge as well.

Apparently it is all part of genius Saffa's mind games to distract the press from criticising his team when they lose.

Classic Saffa and we all fall for it again. But, er, hold on. United won
