No idea what the line up will be for this. Coleman might be back. Mirallas and Hibbert definitely injured. If Coleman is back I think the team will be... ---------------------Howard----------------- ---Coleman---Jagielka---Distin---Baines--- ----------------Gibson--Neville-------------- ------Naismith------Osman------Pienaar--- ----------------------Jelavic------------------ - If Coleman is injured then I'd like to see Neville there with Hitzlsperger in the middle but I think Jagielka would go there with Heitinga playing at CB - Anichebe might be saved for Chelsea game, Just coming back from injury this might be too soon. - Barkley could replace Neville seeing as he's just come back with Ossie going deeper. - Jelavic could be rested. Anything less than a win is going to be a disappointment but that's not to say Wigan aren't capable of making a a mark on the game.
I'd be dissapointed with anything but a win TBH but with wigan In shoite form ALA Reading I'm well nervous of a bannana skin lol
Wigan went to Spurs & won, so underestimate them at your peril. However, I'm apparently a **** so my opinion is probably irrelevant.
We played really well against Arsenal the other day, better than the highlights would suggest. We had one of those days when the ref - Moss - plainly wanted to get on the Arsenal players Xmas card lists. Apart from awarding a soft penalty to them and failing to award us either one of two handballs in the last minutes, his decision to send di Santo to the naughty step for two and a half minutes was completely bizarre. First goal will be crucial - our confidence is fragile at the best of times, at the moment particularly so. We'll be delighted to welcome back Caldwell and Ramis and will take that as a positive even if nothing else falls for us.
Alright mate, we have a make shift right back today so I'm wary about Bausejour today. Without wanting to sound Cliché, it is a case of which Wigan turns up. from the fella on twitter who has been on with our line up in the last few weeks... Howard Jagielka Heitinga Distin Baines Gibson Neville Anichebe Osman Pienaar Jelavic I hope victor actually plays as a right winger this time though, against West Ham it seemed like Jagielka was on his own there. Heitinga v Kone went well last time
That team was wrong, the actual team is more appealing Howard Neville Jagielka Distin Baines Gibson Hitzlsperger Anichebe Osman Pienaar Jelavic
Wigan stopping us from playing by packing the midfield full effectively in that first half, think we need to bring on a midfielder for Anichebe or Jelavic.
thank **** for that, not a very exciting game but three points is three points. 6 points from 6 points without Fellaini who we will really struggle without apparently. shocking from Distin for their goal. Might have been unlucky not to get a penalty, Osman definitely stuck his foot out but it was difficult to tell on the stream whether Maloney took a dive. Will have to wait for MOTD
Yeh he did stick his foot out a little but I think from what I have seen Maloney made a meal of It...
I think we would be annoyed if it was the other way round. What the hell was Distin (and to a lesser extent Baines) doing for their goal. Mainly 6s and a few 7s all round I'd say. Wasn't a great performance but three points nonetheless.
We would deffo be tamping If It was the other way around I missed their goal I take It that It was the custumary give away then... Lets hope we can get a win against Chelsea at home...I think a draw would be good though cant grumble ver our festive results so far though
We were a bit lucky imo, Wigan were probably worth a point tbh. Still, I'll take it, another 3 Christmas points, ho, ho, ho.
Yeah, Wigan can feel hard done by I thought. Onwards and upwards, we go fourth if spurs lose tomorrow!
