Draw was a fair result. Both teams had chances and both had spells when they were on top in the game. Disappointed we didn't take our chances but I don't think yesterday was a poor resut against one of the strongest teams in the league. As long as Leicester didn't gain 3 points on us I'm happy. Need a win on Saturday though.
I thought we were better, the best goal scoring chances 4 or 5 went our way. I can only remember Jakupovic having one shot to save. The fact that Leicester's best chance was the sliced clearance from Faye. They only had marginally better possession (51v 49) we seemed to give up in the 2nd half as the weather deteriorated. I think if we had Meyler in the team we'd have won. Possibly with Sunderland winning their last 2 it may mean they won't recall him?
Think your letting the rivalry get in the way of your judgement. Jako had 5 or 6 saves to make. Draw. Was a fair result.
Agree with Chazz that a draw was a fair result overall. I thought they had more possession so only 51% surprises me, but I do think we had the better chances. Simpson rounding the 'keeper and having it cleared off the line, you can't get much closer than that. He maybe should have lifted it or shot harder but if he did that and missed (and it was a tight angle) people would have been furious that he didn't just pass it in. I think we need some kind of alternative to kicking it long from the keeper. I know we play good football wherever we can but when our keeper has to kick it the strikers haven't got a hope in hell of winning anything. Aluko in particular doesn't even challenge in the air he just stands there.
5 or 6 ??? I assume you're including pass backs in that figure. The BBC stat-o-meter even has Leicester with 5 on target. I can't remember Jakupovic having one tricky save to make other than the shot from distance when Leicester attacked the North Stand. So no, I still maintain we were the better side. That's not based on rivalry, it's based on what I saw and genuine goal scoring opportunities that were on target.
