It's a result based business but Berg can only use an inherited team until the January window opens so he can hardly be totally to blame. And as for Happy Xmas I think Berg and his staff will leave with a year's pay and end up in a club with more class , Blackburn are another club who have no respect for what the fans want , just like Chelsea the heart has gone from the club and the fans deserve better
Barking mad. I think Blackburn and Forrest have just written off their seasons. I bet Berg wishes he had heeded his own advice a couple months before he took the job. At least MM isn't getting tipped for every job that comes along like DJ was. The boot is on the other foot now. It's more likely that a manager would be hankering after the Cardiff job. Not that I expect it to be available in the near future.
Remote, I think the only reason he isn't being linked to jobs is because so called pundits and clubs loooking for a good manager all know the chances of him leaving city to go anywhere are totally nil! The other thing they should know is any club that changes managers in mid season have either got to offer a lot to prise a manager away from a club that is succeeding or, and more usually, give the job to some manager who is out of work because he has already failed at another club. I fail to see the sense in it. Maybe they'll re-employ sparky lmao
A week is a long time in football management......Looking at Peterborough United Results lately they are starting to climb a very steep hill under Fergie Jr , at the end of November he must have been odds on for the next shepherds hook, give him time and money and he can steady the ship, what chance did Forest and Blackburn give their bosses ?
I agree X and it was the point I was trying to make. It shows the progress we have made and the solidarity from the board to the players, backroom staff and fans. We have a stability most clubs would sell their souls for. Oh, too late, they already have.
Posh and the Wendies are far from safe, but their managers are starting to turn the ship around. The easy option is to get rid of them.
Former Aston Villa first-team coach Kevin MacDonald has emerged as the leading contender to succeed Henning Berg as Blackburn manager MacDonald could be placed in charge at Rovers alongside Judan Ali - who has been involved in a Bollywood football movie and was assistant manager of a London Sunday league side three years ago. Well, it is pantomime season after all!
I reckon the football authorities should investigate and see if these clowns have placed a bet on Blackburn plummeting from the premiership to the conference in successive seasons. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20859769
I wonder what all the fans campaigning for Steve Keane's head are thinking now. Doesn't matter who their manager is while the Venky's own the club. What will the chant be tommorrow, 'no appointment out'?
He inherited a team 2nd in the league! But I do agree he should have had more time, it's ridiculous he only got 54 days or whatever it was. Not sure if I feel for the fans, they were calling for Kean's head in the prem (fair enough) but he was doing a good job in this league and they still wanted rid. 'Careful what you wish for' is the expression I think! Modern football eh?!
