Just asking, but did everyone expect to win tonight? I certainly thought we could've won, but its not a fixture I'd go into expecting us to win. Let us not forget we have finished between 6th-8th in the last three seasons. And during those seasons we've lost Torres, Kuyt, Bellamy, Maxi, Meireles, Mascherano, Aurelio, Riera, Aquilani, Babel, Insua etc. Now they may not all have fulfilled their potential or been world beaters here, but they were either good squad options or crucial first team players. Add that to the fact a lot of them have not been replaced by someone of similar or better quality AND that our squad was not even that strong to start with, then its no surprise that we are currently in this position. Also Rodgers is here on a long term contract and the project he is undertaking is a long term one. This is not a Hodgson appointment where he was supposed to get good short term results and be a steady hand while there was so much turmoil off the pitch. And it is not a Mourinho appointment where his goals are short term and often at the expense of the club's future long term. He has taken over a club that struggled for goals last season and then had to see that side lose 3 of their only goalscoring widemen (Bellamy, Kuyt & Maxi) and he only got to replace those 3 with 1 player (Borini), who was unfortunately injured from October and is still out until January. Add that to the fact we had no winger with PL experience that can consistently give us goals + assists in the squad he inherited plus the owners wouldn't let him get the player he wanted in Dempsey, then it was obviously not going to be an awesome season up until January, and there always were going to be poor performances from a side that is reliant on players who have not had any professional experience before this season (Suso, Sterling, Wisdom etc). It is obvious some people have it in for Rodgers due to their love of Rafa/Kenny/somebody else so they're going to stick the knife in at the first sign of a poor result, even though it was obvious it was not going to be easy for him from the start of the season.
What I will say is this..................ANYONE....................who goes on other teams boards purely to wum and annoy when they lose, really really, does need to take at look at there life and there personality, cos if your doing that ,as you are, I would suggest that there are issues/problems in your life that may need resolving
Good to see you've gone back down below us, where you belong! Another Leeds in the making.........................
I know but I'm thinking if he says that tonight he should be sacked. I said ''well done lads on the result'' in football manager after a loss and got sacked
I think the phrase is Gradual Continuous Improvement, if we are seeing that I dont think we can complain with BR, the question is are we seeing that
What good does he see in Joke Cole then i wonder. Sahin was never really given a proper run of games to prove himself and i think that's a bit too harsh on him. If used as a deep playmaker he'd be a handful. I remember the game against Norwich, he was Top class and i thought he'd be a permanent fix, then BR moved him upfront and then it didn't work out well. Besides he only played 7 games, not even finishing one. So he clearly can't be judged that soon

I think we are seeing as much improvement as we can expect before January transfer window. Sturridge coming in and Borini coming back will add, or should add, a load of goals and movement into our attack.
Actually I left my iPad on this post while I was watching the telly. I'm pleased you lost never the less.
I actually think supporting Liverpool will eventually kill me, well it's a statistical inevitability..
