A clear foul imo - the only thing I would criticise Green for is that in this situation he should have punched it forwards as he was never going to get it over the bar.
Poor ref decision; Green knew what he wanted to do but was fouled. Pulled off a couple of crucial saves later in the game to keep us in with a shout - but we weren't capable of converting our opportunities. Debating whether Green was fouled or not is a smoke screen for some inept performances elsewhere!!!
It was obstruction at the very least. Usually these days goalies are given a free kick if an attacker comes within a yard of them so how that wasn't given God only knows. And as for the stonewall penalty we weren't given. However, these shouldn't disguise the fact that we were very poor in the first half and things need to improve a lot, and quickly.
We were perhaps a little bit unlucky that the second goal wasn’t given as a free-kick, but you saw a lot about Robert Green’s character in that situation. It was dreadful really – he needed to be much stronger and barely put up any sort of resistance at all, and if you’re going to take that kind of risk in that situation then you get what you deserve. http://www.qprtoday.net/2012/12/26/qpr-1-wba/ I agree with the way Neil puts it.
Amazing that anyone can blame Green for that. There's a brick ****house clearly fouling him ffs. Scandalous refereeing.
Probably a foul but Green should have imposed himself on that situation. Used his upper body strength to clear the player out of the way before the ball arrived.
Blatant foul, I agree Devon. It's obstruction plain and simple, no attempt to play the ball. However we were no worse than them in the first half (both fairly rubbish) but they scored a wonder goal apart from that it was even Stevens. Trouble is once we go further behind we're just simply not good enough to get back into it. Read an article that had a quote from Steve Clarke saying it wasn't a foul and his team bossed it for 68 mins. What a silly chunt. He and west brom I now utterly loathe.
He lost out in a battle of strength to a guy about 6" shorter than him, he also went in the goal of his own accord. Thats was useless goalkeeping and Green is a useless keeper, the "effort" he made there was embarrassing. Cerny is a better keeper than him.
I blame him for both goals, hes up nearing double figures with goals that were his fault if you include the pre season.
