GFH said he was a condition of the deal, so I'd imagine he's here to stay. He's got such a good promotion record for a reason, he knows what he's doing. I just think, what with January being a notoriously poor time to spend money, we're probably going to be better off adding what we can in January (basically the loanees) and then accept where we finish, and do most of the building in the summer. I would love us to finish in the play offs this season, and it's still a realistic possibility, but I have a horrible feeling this inconsistency is going to cost us.

On a side note, delighted for Somma, I wasn't (and I'm still not fully) convinced he'd come back the same player, but he does look sharp and that goal will do wonders for his confidence.

The frustration I have is that when we're winning and on a good run, we play good football. And when we keep it on the floor, with quick passes and movement off the ball, we look a real team. As soon as we concede we seem to instantly hit it long, and it doesn't suit the players we have at all, hence why we look so poor.

Thought the ref was ok, didn't see any game changing issues and let the game flow, both sides.

Am surprised that Brown and Austin don't play well together, and with Green Byram and Thomas on the flanks or overlapping, I was very surprised that we capitulated so easily. Forest were all over us for most of the game, and we rarely got near them. Certainly not what I would have expected.

Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Sean O'Driscoll following their 4-2 win against Leeds which lifted them to within a point of the Championship's play-off places.

Nottingham Forest have sacked Sean O'Driscoll just six months after acquiring his services from Crawley

O'Driscoll had been under increasing pressure at the City Ground following a run of form which had yielded just one win in five games, but a convincing victory against Neil Warnock's fellow promotion hopefuls Leeds hinted that Forest could be ready to turn the corner.

However, owners Fawaz Al Hasawi and Abdulaziz Al Hasawi have cited a desire to 'move the club forward' was behind the decision to oust O'Driscoll who had only left Crawley to join Forest in July 2012.

On at least two occasions in recent weeks, O'Driscoll had been summoned by members of the Al Hasawi family and ordered to deliver "promotion or bust" this season, six months after the new owners preached of a three-year plan to take the club to the Premier League.

Former Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes and ex-Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo are understood to be on the radar of the Forest owners who feel the club has not made the progress they desire over the last six months, despite O'Driscoll promising to build success, after bringing in 14 players and spending around £6 million on new faces.

Not strictly their player, but definitely Sharp. Always liked Cox but he's like McCormack and I'd rather have him. I'd have loved us to sign Lansbury as well...

Sharp is just on loan. Amazing if you look at Lansbury, Hutton and Sharp. Suppose they are under performing...

Sacking him is bloody ridiculous. He has got them playing in a way that absolutely slaughtered us. He was excellent at Donny, had them playing as a real team and greater than the sum of their parts, and the same with Forest.

Tell you what - I'd swap NW for him.
