01 K Davis - 5 - Slow to react to the cross which led to their goal. A standard afternoon apart from that. A position I Hope NA will be looking to strengthen in the transfer window as I don't think he has confidence in either PG or AB. 02 Clyne - 6 - Solid display against tough opposition. 03 Yoshida - 5 - The lesser two of our CBs and gives the ball away far too much with sloppy passing. Improving but would like to see him on the subs bench with a better quality replacement being brought in during the transfer window. 06 Fonte - 7 - Good solid display, one of his better games. Doesn't look nearly so nervous as in the start of the season. 23 Shaw - 6 - A mixed bag from the youngster, lots of attacking raids that lead ultimately to nothing and plenty of misplaced passing. Obviously still learning the game at this level and will hopefully fulfill his potential. 04 Schneiderlin 7 - Busy, looked like he bossed the midfield. Solid display but sometimes wish he could "bully" a bit more? 08 S Davis - 6 - Good but again still waiting that drive that he showed for Rangers, perhaps the difference in league quality is telling the difference? Would like to see other options being brought in as our squad looks lightweight. 10 Ramirez - 6 - I like Ramirez ,think he oozes class looks beautiful to watch SOMETIMES!!! Other times drifts in and out, seems to be on a different radio station than anybody else, wavelengh! Does he merit the price-tag at the moment...mmmmmhhh....arghhh....No (sorry) 18 Cork - 8 - Motm for me. Solid, busy, linked well. When he plays well the pressure is taken off our midfield. 42 Puncheon - 7 - A favourite player for me but sometimes he just seems ..dunno..taking the wrong option? Would love to see going on the outside instead of cutting in and compressing the already congested space inside. Also guilty of one pass too many? 07 Lambert - 5 - Apart from the penalty seems distinctly off colour? Lack of confidence or just lack of pace at this level? A position I think we could again strengthen in the transfer window as our options seem thin considering Jrod and Mayaku are just not cutting it? subs - 5 - Jrod, dunno whats happened to this kid? Expected so much been delivered so little. Worth the money? Again at the moment a definite NO! n/a Guly why oh why oh why? Is he really the best of the rest? Lee? Anybody? The ball-boy? N Adkins - 5 - Seems like he cannot commit to a decision about subs and timings or even a plan B set up with Banana missing. Players out of position again but obviously few alternatives. A big big transfer window coming up! And as much as I like the guy and hope he succeeds I have my doubts. The pressure is still very much on, the next month is gonna be huge! Ref - 5- How did Riise stay on after persistent blatant fouling? Good spot for the handball though.
Davis - 5 Clyne - 7 Fonte - 8 Yoshida - 8 Shaw - 6 Cork - 8 Schneiderlin - 8 Davis - 6 Puncheon - 7 Ramirez - 6 Lambert -6
Trouble is Ramirez is being played on the wing so doesn't seem as effective. As for saying Rodriguez and Mayuka aren't cutting it we can't really tell as they have hardly played. Apart from that and your rating for Yoshida I kinda agree with your ratings.
Davis - 2 Clyne - 1 Fonte - 0 Yoshida - 73 Shaw - 2 Cork - 1 Schneiderlin - 2 Davis - 3 Puncheon - 0 Ramirez - 1 Lambert -2 As if it matters
Very harsh on Rodriguez, he injected some energy into our attack which arguably led to the equaliser. I still think he's got a bright future.
K.Davis - 5 Clyne - 6 Fonte - 7 Yoshida - 5 Shaw - 7 Cork - 8 MOTM Schneiderlin - 6 (5 first half, 7 second) Ramirez - 7 S.Davis - 6 Puncheon - 7 Lambert - 7
Probably a bit harsh on Yoshida in hindsight but he does seem to be a sloppy with his passing and a touch ponderous in thought? As for JRod and Mayuka it begs the question "With a forward looking out of sorts and lacking form why aren't they getting more game time, is this a fault of NA or simply aren't they as good as hoped?" It does strike me as strange that 10m worth of buys spend most of the time warming the bench and when used it does seem too late in the game 75mins + ? A bit of a one dimensional game plan from NA?
Always interesting when points vary a lot for one player...perhaps catching sight of a good move or a bad one colours what we think. The fact is that there was one soft goal, but other than that Fulham didn't score again. Adkins has access to all the stats...work put in, clearances, passes etc so won't be influenced only by what he sees. If Fonte is looking more assured, he must be reasonably happy with Yoshida. If we can stay up, Adkins has a lot of facts to take to Cortese about what needs to be done for next season.
I can't give ratings as I was busy with family commitments so I had to contend with checking the score. I was told it was 1-0 at 4:40pm so to find the final score was 1-1 was a very pleasant surprise!
Just got in after a 3 and a half journey across London involving many tubes and buses, Thought Shaw was oustanding today again and in the first half was our most creative player. Fans today deserve a 8, quiet and pretty **** in the first half but then sang OWTS for atleast 20 minutes
