Yes BWP has to start v Ipswich no ifs no buts no excuse to not start him. He scored for fun last season has only started a few this season and in them games he got very little chance to score then got dumped to be hardly seen again.
We create chances we don't take em he's the man BWP must play there is no logical reason not to play him

It's funny that just because our other strikers aren't scoring BWP suddenly becomes the solution.

There's a reason Powell hasn't been picking him.

He can't do worse than the strikers atm they aren't scoring either. I would like to see him and Fuller start the Ipswich game I think, although I will not be there to witness it as trains don't run on boxing day :(

He's always been the solution for me . So we persevere with our non scoring forwards hope for a 0 0 on Boxing Day or sneak a 10 via pen own goal and same v derby we need to make changes.
CP don't seem to mind changing the midfield regularly .
Lets face it Wednesday have been awful at the back and we couldn't score .
    BWP our only hope

he changes the midfield a lot cos they dont create enough.

all of our strikers would score if they had decent chances

This! BWP as much as I like him does not score enough of his chances, when he first joined us his work rate was below what I found acceptable and he greatly improved that area though some still referred to him as lazy. Football is tough and I don't think BWP can cut it, I don't get any pleasure writing that.

I don't think he's been given a chance this season scored against palace wrongly disallowed and disappeared pretty much.
I reckon he's a much better finisher than Haynes who missed an open goal today.
Green should be starting too he's been out long enough and have we improved without him no.

Thank you, glad i'm not the only one who has been saying that. I've had this view since last season, you could tell that the goals would flow if he could finish, he had 5/6 chances a game, clear chances and will only score 1 of them, that is not the quality we need, I know we need to score goals but it's been said, chances need to be created, but if they were i'd rather have Fuller or Kermit (or Waggy, I know he's not here but he is a better finisher 1 on 1 imo) have that chance then BWP.

I think it's time to give him his chance again, the pace of a forward line of Haynes on the right and BWP on the left would scare a Mick M team to death who play a rather direct style in the air!

We HAVE to keep it on the ground against Ipswich.

I thought The Doctor was right to drop him, but now it's time for his second coming!

I think BWP is great, one of my favourite players. That said he's not a good finisher but he at least deserves to get some minutes.

Many top level strikers have been successful whilst not have a great shot/goal ratio. It's why lots of people weren't fans of andy cole and perhaps why he never received much international recognition. Kluivert for Barcelona is another one who comes to mind. The important thing was SAF would point out as long as andy cole kept getting in to the positions, then it didn't concern him.

I have to be honest though, I still thought hulse bought a different dimension to our front line. Very good first touch, liked to bring it forward on the deck and you were guaranteed he would get in a few goalscoring positions every match. I'm all for BWP being given a chance though, one of my favourite players at the club. But it's no secret that the club has received some enquiries about his availability. Be interesting to know what CP said.

While I have no great confidence that BWP will do better than our other four strikers, it seems worth giving him a chance, especially with games coming thick and fast and the other four being veterans or just back from long lay-offs.

The same could be said for Green, but there is a big difference. Wilson at RM is one of our few successes at present and is building a good understanding with Solly. He cannot be dropped, so are you proposing playing Green on the left instead of Kerkar? He has started there before but is not at his best there.

Wilson's suspended for one match, but I expect Pritchard to play in his place, unless the pecking order has changed.

Wilson is suspended even if he weren't green could play on the left and cut inside.
It's no crisis we have a cushion over the bottom 3 but a bad Xmas new year 3 defeats or draws and we are in the thick of it.
We need to win our 2 home games at least 6 points out of 9.
