lol, actually that is the typical mackem argument, and one you'll probably use at the end of the season, as I wouldn't be surprised if you finished above us. Yet another injury today. It just doesn't look like the season wants to pick up for us. The ball hitting the insides of posts but bouncing out, not in, and Anita injured in the last minute ROFL. I reckon we should just focus on the Europa league because the PL is off for me this season.
Please lets not start this just yet lol. They have been ahead of us for the entire season until today tbf :/
you lot have been plagued by injuries, and played well in Yewrope and could still pull off something there, but i heard Ba will be off in Jan, season for you could go either way
If we finish mid table and push on in the Europa league, I will be happy. If we sign a top quality striker in Jan, then I reckon we'll have the power to push back up the table in 2013/14. I think this season is a kick up the arse and a lesson for Ashley and Pards, because we should have signed more players. However, no side in this league can deal with the amount of injuries we've had. Oh well.
My dad was at the Toon game and says you were superb, bar the defence. But, points win prizes, and for all I'm not one for getting ahead of myself, I do like looking down on you for however long. We will both finish top 10, mark my words.
Tash mate, we could argue this till the cows come home, we didn't have full strength team out either, no Catts, no O'Shea, Fletcher playing with Injury, Johnson playing with injury, Rose playing with injury, Bardsley out, i can go on if you wish. You might have a valid argument about your injuries but then again, so do we. The table never lies, or at least that's what you claimed anyway.
Meh, you're probably right. Kind of frustrating like, but the table is still very close. A couple of wins can see you up the table. I dunno, it's been a weird 2 years for Newcastle United.
Excellent win for you guys. We were robbed by one or two dodgy decisions (RVP facepalming Colo for their 3rd strikes out as one) and the table never lies sadly. If you win, you deserve to win. If you lose, you deserve to lose. It really is as simple as that. We played well but no doubt you guys did too. Positives all round.
I think to be fair, we're both pretty evenly matched right now, we've had a **** run with some horrendous injury problems, just like yourselves, it looks like we could be turning the corner whereas you are still waiting to get there. You will cos neither of us are relegation fodder and i have no doubt that come the end of the season we will both be mid table (ish) who will come out on top? lets see what January brings eh?
So refreshing to have Newcastle guys like you posting mate - sensible, well spoken, and providing good input. cheers
I'm loving it, just now. We've had a disappointing season so far, but the last few results and performances have been miles better. Being above the mags is nice 'n all, but it's the end of the season that counts for that sort of thing. At least I can watch MOTD tonight!
I know it doesn't really matter, but I don't think it would take much for you to admit that if we're both at full strength, we're the stronger side, but again, it doesn't matter. The league table doesn't tell the full story, but the same as performing in games doesn't matter, it's the goals that count and the 3 points. Both side can push for top 10. We'll get Cabaye and Ben Arfa back, and hopefully get reinforcements in. Hopefully we can have a spell with our better players in, and do an Everton and get up into the top 8/9 It's still very possible considering we're not even half way through yet.
