Pompey fan in peace. Well they are hardly saintly, very arrogant yes. They think they will beat you at a canter at the cottage, I think otherwise............... I will say 2-0 Fulham Prove I am right boys and stuff their arrogant arses................ 23/12/2012, 04:14 PM #7 Relentless Saint Supertramp Senior Member Whilst my suspicions were that having such a break between Reading and Sunderland would do us more bad than good... I'm glad that this game comes so quickly afterwards. It also looks like being a good time to face Fulham, but only if we turn up and take it to them. I hope Nigel has learned a thing or two about how and who to utilise in Lallanas absense. I'm going to go for a juicy 2-0 win with Lambert and Fonte getting the goals. But first it's Christmas and I hope everyone has a merry day No Ha
To be honest, now is as good a time to be playing us. We have our entire midfield out injured/suspended and our defence is looking less and less like the solid unit it has been the past few years. Although, saying that, Southampton's miserable performance at home to Sunderland makes their confidence/arrogance somewhat bemusing. Southampton have a few players who could make the difference against us such as Ramirez/Lambert but I think a 2-0 away victory prediction is underestimating Fulham. We are still a strong team at Craven Cottage, and Berbatov could have a field day against a defence that is one of the worst in the league. 2-1 Fulham.
I don't think the Saints fan that Singing Blue 3 quoted sounded all that arrogant. The best way for Southampton to get a result is to 'turn up and take it to us'. But I think today will be a lot better than the weekend (couldn't be much worse!) and that we'll get a good win.
