Oh really? Thanks for letting me know. I still think people have better causes to give money to than whatever gets thrusted down their throats by the media or the music biz. If it's a choice between paying someone's legal fees and a family in Africa, I know which I'd pick.
Your choice mate, but why use Africa as a cover to slate people who choose to help the Hillsborough families by buying a cd. And to the Arsenal fans that bought the cd, thank you very much for your support.
I never bought the CD, tho I did give a donation to a fund related to the ibrox disaster, while I really do sympathise with the Hillsborough cause it does annoy me that on the second of January will be the anniversary of the ibrox disaster, but it will hardly get a mention, yet on the anniversary of Hillsborough the papers, even in Scotland are full of Hillsborough stuff. While more people were killed and the reasons are still being debated surrounding Hillsborough , 66 people still died that day and their lives were just as important as the Liverpool fans. Sorry to every Liverpool fan but it just annoys me that there is such a big thing made of Hillsborough, yet on one bats an eye lid regarding ibrox.
That may be the case, but for such a disaster to not even get a mention on its anniversary I find very annoying (other than in the Scottish news papers), I bet there are people reading this, younger people who had never even hear of the ibrox disaster. Their families still suffered like those of the Hillsborough disaster, people still went to a football match and never returned. My rant is more that the media, and their bias towards certain events, when other just get ignored.
The same could be said about the Bradford or Bolton disasters.I think the reason Hillsborough is still mentioned is because of the families fight forjustice.
GC is correct to say the families fight for truth and justice is the reason Hillsborough has been in the news for 23yrs, as for the Ibrox disaster, its always remembered in Liverpool, the youngest to die was from Merseyside, Ibrox has been mentioned in our local press. please log in to view this image http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...ctims-of-stadium-tragedies-100252-27711757/2/ But the OP was just a thank you to Arsenal fans for their support not a thread to cheapen the deaths of 96 footballs fans.
