Sunderland boss O'Neill determined to have successful January market Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is anxious about having a successful winter market. O'Neill is desperate to strengthen during January. âOnce February 1 comes around, itâs a long time after that until the end of the season where youâre not able to change anything. âIn fairness, I think most clubs will be trying to do something. The exceptions are the main sides who have the wherewithal to cope with anything, but numerically, weâre not that strong. âWe have less players than most people in the league, so we really have to look to do something if we can. I accept itâs not going to be easy, but some of the fine players we have at the football club probably need a bit of help.â
Well we have enquired already for players so lets hope we get them in the sooner the better and not wait until the last couple of days. Hopefully we can get 4 players in who can come in and add quality and atleast 1 if not 2 have to be cental midfielders IMO
Any other season i would have said NO, we're all aware that players tend to be either not available or overpriced, but in our current situation it's imperative that we get 2 to 3 decent players in. Stevie Wonder can see where we are lacking, but who's out there that we can A: Afford? and B: Available?
too right welder we don't want to do a QPR with journey men who couldn't give a ****, see the bin dippers already have stocking fillers.
I think Rogers has a bit more up top than Dalgliesh but for me Sturridge is a bit of a panic buy. Great at Bolton, decent in a **** team but crap with Chelsea and i can't see him being much better with Liverpool. I just hope MON has been doing his homework and we get lads in quick rather than leaving it till the end of the window. We need players now.
Sturridge is only young, a prospective international who can only get better. and English so his stock will rise. Scott Sinclair could be another decent buy for them if the papers are to be belived.
I agree with Sinclair and Sturrage can get better but for me he still has a lot to do. I'm sure he will prove me wrong and i hope he does, England need him.
Yeh, me too mate. We'll just have to wait and see what Marty has planned for us eh? All the best mate, have a good'n.
only ****s wouldn't sign for us mate, if they want to play every week, put a shift in and be adored by the crowd this is the place to be.
ok then have you found where a mermaid hides her hole yet, and if you have give us the low down blow by blow
