For about a week that Global QPR thread was always at the top of the page and there was mixed feelings about possible outcomes as shown by the wide ranging feeling of opinions demonstrated by the poll.

Eventually; the whole kerfuffle became nonsense about nothing and no party was deemed to have infringed the rules to the extent that points and pounds were lost by QPR, the whole play off system could continue and the season would end without added drama in the courts.

    So.

Now we know that nothing truly inadvertent happened; despite the irregularities that broke FA rules and legislation – was the right result reached?

Rules were ‘bent’ to some extent; that was agreed and accepted but does it not strike you as a tad ‘lucky’ that these irregularities were only brought to light at the END of the season when it would be far harder to bring the season to a conclusion?

Court battles would have staved off a final conclusion to league placing as well as ensured that the EPL itself could have been affected with a delayed start until the matters were sorted out legally.

I think the final conclusion was reached with that fear of delay first and foremost within the arbitration panels minds.

    Lucky QPR?

Very lucky QPR. A small fine that is dwarfed by the revenue they will earn being in the PL. I lost all faith in the FA a long time ago. I hope they get relegated next season personally.

F.A should have dealt with the matter earlier, leaving it so close to the end of The Championship was ridiculous.

I wonder if Warnock would have walked again if QPR had lost points.

I have no grudges against QPR. And, apart from the few idiot wums that I spotted on here the other week, they seem to have a decent set of supporters. However, they have broken the rules, and got away with it. What is the point in having these rules, if a club is only going to get a slap on the wrists? They have cheated in my book. It is unfair on all the other clubs who have signed players in the proper way.

A club needs to made an example of soon enough. Otherwise, clubs are going to carry on breaking rules, thinking that they'll just get a fine.

It's similer to Adolf Hitler lol, he took Austria, met no resistance and carried on and on. Untill eventually we got tangled in a full scaled war.

It'll be interesting to see what the FA do if Man U make 10 or 11 changes for the Blackpool match. They'll have the league done and dusted (although it already is) and the European Cup Final around the corner so the likes of Rooney, Hernandez, Vidic, Ferdianand, Evra etc aren't going to be risked. Will they fine Man U as they did Wolves or let them off scot free?

<laugh> QPR, the next target for the war on terror! Although would we notice if Loftus Road was bombed?

would have repped you but must spread it around for another quality article<ok>

wrote this on another thread of a similar ilk

it baffle's me how the FA bandy about words like "Respect" "Fair play" etc. and time after time prove themselves to be the most spineless least respected/respectful organisation going who are **** scared to upset the bigger (money rich) clubs but hammer the clubs that need their help the most.Bizarre

If you call having our wonderful season tarnished with this rubbish lucky, crack on lads.
The F.A have made themselves look silly, making a big thing out of a couple of admin errors,
and left us to be called cheats by people who don't know the 1st thing about it.

You're dead right about dealing with the matter earlier, that in itself is scandalous. The FA left it far to late to act positively I do feel it would have been a different matter all together had QPR been mid table and the play off situation would not have been affected.
It would have been awful for the fans had there been a points deduction, but the guilt lies with the FA .

The FA didnt help by having The Championship Throphy at Loftus Road on Saturday, giving it to them in one hand and taking it back would have been a farce. But the whole matter has bee a farce.

I'll agree that the FA looked silly. They also looked inept but that's the one thing they do consistently.

The 'admin errors' were known about well before the end of the season and if dealt with faster than perhaps the outcome could have been worse for QPR.

Seeing that play off places could have been affected should a points deduction been implemented; no doubt QPR would have appealed through the courts and this would have delayed the conclusion of a season.

That's the fear I'm talking about in regards to the FA arbitration panel.

In that respect I feel QPR have been lucky because the FA haven't conducted themselves in a timely and efficient manner.

Ironic that a Neil Warnock team were involved in this giving all the grief he gave West Ham when the ball was on the other foot.

i think you'll find that to most people here the club in question is irrelevant it's the fa and their handling of it and i'm sure Luton fans wish their club was looked upon with such favour for as you put it "admin errors" but i wouldn't expect an objective view from yourselves

QPR got lucky, they should of had a point deduction. Not some extremely low fine that means nothing compared to the amount of money the owners have.

Agreed. I have no problems with QPR at all. But, i see it was highly unfair the way the FA have conducted themselves. It was like in that Alan Sugar program yesterday, that guy was saying how they didnt want protests outside their offices. So they dont punish clubs severly. So ****ing what? Westminster and Downing Street get protests all the time, and they still have to make decisions, that people wont like.

I've got no faith in the FA at all. I see them as a corrupt association, with no other interest apart from making a **** load of money.
