think we should cut our losses personally. he may have recently started performing as he has had a kick up the ass, but how long has he been here? too little too late for me, and how long is his recent good form likely to last.
agree that should be all the incentive you need, most on here would put on the red shirt for bugger all. hope i am wrong but does look to me like a lot of players want the move to big clubs as they are normally guaranteed a decent wage and only start performing how they should when told they can leave, long gone has the pride of playing for certain clubs, seems like they are more concerned with keeping the bank manager happy than the fans who watch them and help pay their wages.
If someone offered £10m , snatch there hands off and say bye Stewie £5m might as well keep him £7m not sure
Rodgers has now stated Downing could be here for years. If he continues to work hard and improve and play like he did the other day, great. If he even thinks about sitting back on his 1 goal and 1 assist then we were all conned, again.
He's the guy in FIFA "Boss I am the best player here, I don't understand how I am not playing more often." Should have been working hard from the off as many have said already. Btw, Merry Christmas to all and to Gerrez a good ffs
I think he will be staying if he keeps playing like that. Not much point in taking a massive loss on a player who has just come good, that would be lunacy.
Signing for liverpool should be a kick up the arse. Being dropped should be a kick up the arse. Having the media laughing at you for never providing an assist/goal should be a kick up the arse. The manager having faith in you despite poor performances should be a kick up the arse. But no. Stewie plays better when he knows he's trying to find a new club. Prick. He's welcome to leave.
This, wonder where MFG is to tell us how wrong we all were. Liverpool way that Stewie, play hard when you are about to leave, good on ya.
BR is playing him and talking him up to try and get the best price for him if an offer comes in. If he doesn't play and is **** when he does get the odd chance you have a a joe cole situation but getting him playing regular and putting in half decent performances and saying you want him to stay will see a better offer.....if we get one that is.
