With Wolves beating WBA it now means that if Mick Macs team beat us it will almost certainly guarantee their Premier League status. This should mean that Wolves fans take up their full allocation for this game and I expect them to be pretty vocal in their support. This game is also important to Sunderland, not only for the financial incentive of finishing higher up the table, but also for the fact that it is important to finish off our home campaign with a big performance after so many recent disappointments.
I'm pleased that it can't be us that relegate McCarthy's team because I still have a lot of respect for him, however, I really want to see the lads finish our home campaign off in style and win this game.

i want to see us beat wolves, and then in the final game do them a favour and beat w. ham and put them down, at least that'll be one place taken care off. then their final game at home to blackburn is up to them

I really do have alot of respect for Mick & would like him to stay up but at the minute it looks like it would have to be in Blackpools place, so i hope Blackpool stay up as really enjoyed the weekend down there & want to do it again next year!

West Ham & Wigan down though please.

Safc73 who would you put in charge, perhaps O'Neil who was only successful in Scotland. The choice is very limited.

I know its been done to death now, but I wish people would just forget about wanting Bruce out! I really can't think of any realistic targets who are better or more experienced than him. Perhaps people should look closer to home as to why funds were not available to buy new players in the January window: eg the stay away fans when we were doing so well in the early part of the season.

yes I'd give O'Neil a chance...........actually think he'd make a good job of it............but at the end of the day it’s not up to me.................as i said in a previous post... you don't have to be a mechanic to know your car is ****ed and you don't have to know how to put it right, some other ****er is paid to do that................ we are all speculators, people with opinions, and regardless of how long you have supported the club or what and how much you read or watch the game, very few of us are qualified to make decisions for the club.................. I don’t KNOW who should replace him, that does not mean my view that he is not the man for the job is not valid………….

He had 2 consective 6th place finishes with Villa & got them to a Cup Final which you could argue they may have won because Vidic brought donw the last man but wasn't sent off.

He did spend alot of money but so has Bruce. Im still for Bruce at the minute though and will give him more time. Hopefully he will learn from the mistakes in the past 6 months

Got a lot of time for Mick wasn't given the benefit with us but, still think we should be going all out to win this one and the next one if possible and let Wolves sort their own problems out. Wolves have another home game to do it for themselves and after the defeat of WBA they will be more than up for it.

Totally agree i would also love it if the 3 to go down were Blackburn, Birmingham and West Ham.
But West Ham has to go surely nothing against West Ham fans but Gold and Sullivan are a pair of tossers

Would like to see Mick get through this, he did well by us with his hands tied behind his back, no transfer money etc etc, I like the man. so best of luck Mick M.
