I find myself agreeing with swanny on this one This is the two best teams in the division playing against each other. Never mind cardiff vs crystal palace, this is no doubt the game of the day! Palace will fall away, especially when they lose zaha in january and i have a feeling that the perennial bottlers cardiff may slip into the play offs too. I expect the top two come the end of the season to be hull and leicester. With regards to this actual game i can see it being very tight but i have seen a new found resolve in this team over the past few weeks and i can see us just sneaking a win by the odd goal, i believe our defence is good enough now to nullify leicesters attacking threat and its whether or not we can get ourselves a goal or not.
Biggest crock of **** ever that. We lost that game in the midfield, where most games are won and lost. They hustled and harried us out of it and took the ball off aluko with ease. Squeezed us to death. They do that again and they can win.
I don't think the same thing will happen again. Last time out players were learning the 3 at the back formation, the wing backs were working slightly less and the centerbacks were hesitant about when to pull out wide and where to cover, the corners out wide either side were a glaring weak spot for a few games which Leicester exploited, also prime examples in the Blackpool game and a few others. That is not longer the case, our flanks look tight now and not exposed as they did before. What Leicester will do is what derby did very well and stop us playing by applying pressure high up the pitch, keeping men close to ours and not giving us the space allowing us to play. I can see this being a frustrating game where neither side can get going due to negative stifling tactics and it being a tight 1-0 or 2-1 either way with goals coming from a fast swift counter attack or set pieces. I don't think this will be one for the purists despite both teams having very good footballing ability. As always TWT.
Utter tosh and drivel this. Leicester are wide wide open, Nugent is rubbish, he has definitely gone down hill imo. The KFC in Leicester is awful not a patch on Hull's. After the Cardiff game i talked to Shaky in the car park, well i say talked, he blubbered on my shoulder wishing he'd never left us and how they are going to get beaten 5-0 by us lol TWT
As would I mi lord, I just have this horrible gut feeling we will lose both and by Saturday evening Steve Bruce will be more of a villain than that bloke were trying to deport back to Jordan.
Leicester are a good team and one of our rivals for an automatic spot which is why it would be great to beat them (forget about who their manager is + lets get three points)
Any thing can happen in this league as we found out when we lost at home to peterborough.. Fingers crossed we beat Leicester AND Leeds .. IF we had to win one and lose one I would deffo want us to thrash ****ty Leeds because " Hull Whites" are the scum of the Earth... Why the F would anyone from Hull support anyone else besides Hull City I don't understand .
We need to get stuck into Leicester as quickly as possible as they are a team that come flying out of the blocks. If we can neutralize the threat of Knockaert (which they pronounce Kanockerrt - hilarious. They also cut their food with a kanyfe and have shins below their kanees.) early on and Hobbs can mark Nugent then we should be safe. I reckon 2-1 to us for that game, because Lloyd Dyer always seems to score against us, so I reckon he will again. Leeds are another that start quickly, their power comes from strong forwards and the obvious threat of Becchio, but he isn't as good as Austin, Rhodes or Zaha, three very good players we have made look very ordinary with some fine defending. Leeds aren't a big physical side like they once were, so players like Aluko and Brady should thrive on the space they'll be given. 2-0 to us.
"Hull to beat Leicester @ 6/4 The Tigers moved into the automatic promotion places for the first team this season on the back of a fourth successive win last time out and will be looking to get one over on former boss Nigel Pearson when he returns with his off-key Foxes side. They’ve not won any of their last three games and stand little chance of repeating the feat they achieved when beating Hull 3-1 at the Walkers Stadium earlier in the season. In three of their last four away matches they’ve failed to find the back of the net and you can’t envisage any festive joy for them on Humberside here." http://news.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/foo...mulator-hull-star-in-191-fourfold_127373.html I didnt know they hadnt scored in 3 of their last 4 away matches.
To be fair, you can quote all the stats you want, but football is a weird game. We were odds on favourites to win at the King Power in September, after we'd won the previous 3 matches and thrashed 2 of them off the park. But what happened? We were outplayed and deserved to lose. Leicester will be up for this- they need a decent result to get their season back on track. Although that stat about scoring is quite surprising. Mind you they battered Cardiff it seemed.
We're getting hotly tipped. Let's go for it! Do you use tea bags or leaves? And which brand? Milk and sugar? If yes, how much of each? And most importantly, how long to you allow your tea to mash?
They'll be up for it having battered but lost to the sheepshaggers. So an early goal, Aluko on fire. Oh the misery coming from the North Stand. "I'd love it. I'll tell this I'd love it". However I do expect an even game and a point each in an entertaining 1-1
Well, I think it ended up a tough game v Leicester. We could have been out of sight at half time but in the end I was happy with a point. Having seen them home and away I think they are the best team we have played this season.
