I think Harry is more interested in Lampard's big-game experience and the professionalism he can bring into the team. That could be a big plus when we go into the crunch games and we were clearly missing it yesterday.

As for strikers, Charlie Austin would be my choice, he's prolific at every level and that is a natural instinct...

Forget he's Frank Lampard for a second, as i think the name in itself is enticing some people.
If someone said to you "hey guys... I know you're in a relegation scrap, and your weaknesses are at the front and the back. How do you fancy a 34yr old central midfielder who's on the wane? He has nothing left to prove"

You'd tell them where to go! He's absolutely the last thing we need, it's simply because it's "Frank Lampard" that anyone is even considering it. This is Park Ji Sung Mark2 in terms of positive impact he'd have on the club (although without the commercial revenue). At least park can play in multiple positions, and he's three years younger than frank too!

Imagine if we recruited cole/lampard/anelka as well as bosingwa, then got liquidated after relegation. Chelsea fans would eternally be able to gloat that they were partly responsible for the demise of our club.
I don't want QPR to be a retirement home for ex chelsea boys. What are they saying down at Stamford Bridge? "Here lads, don't worry, when you're getting on a bit we'll ship you out to QPR and they'll pay you a pretty penny whilst you wind down your playing careers ;) ". Oh the ignominy.

Yes he is better than all of them even at his age, all this **** about him being fat and unfit, most of you talk complete bollocks, Derry better than Lampard do me a favour.

Diakite/Mbia/Faurlin are all better than him. Didn't say Derry is better, said i'd feel uncomfortable seeing a good honest Ranger sidelined by Lampard. Don't complain about mercenaries if you're happy to see the few honest players at our club get replaced.
Even if he was better, we wouldn't need him. We're not a big club, we don't need to throw money at constantly fractionally improving every position. We should strengthen what needs strengthening!

Don't want to see park again. leave him out the 25, bring in Lampard. Lampard is a 100 times better.

The good thing about Lampard is he will always work hard and is very consistent. Even though he is older,I would put him straight into our midfield.Diakite is young and goes missing,Faurlin has been injured and is very slow and Mbia cant pass to save his life!. As well as a decent defender and striker,we need someone in the middle who is going to lead the line..

But we're not going to leave JSP out are we ? He's yet to show his best plus TF needs him for commercial reasons in Asia

Signing lampard would be symptomatic of where we've gone wrong before

Why??? What's popularity got to do with it. Would he be more popular if he did nothing & we went down. Are we so deluded that we wouldn't be able to get over the anti-chelski stuff & take someone who is a good solid pro & has scored 130 goals in 500 prem league games.....can't see how we're in a position to be that fussy

Will score way more goals for us than that useless giraffe crouch would

I'd take two defenders and two attackers before i'd take lampard. I guess if we've got enough cash to frivolously splash around after that- then perhaps we could get him. Doesn't make sense to me to attempt to strengthen positions that we're already strong in during a January transfer window though. Particularly when we're already the most over-spending club in the premier league. Shouldn't we buy the minimum that's required to stay up, in the knowledge than any more than that would be a burden should we not pull it off?
He won't score goals, he won't be in a team as good as Chelsea.
Nobody who's said they want him has suggested who they'd replace for him yet either. Think about it, here are our central midfielders: Mbia,Faurlin,Diakite,Granero,Park,Derry. Isn't that enough? I'd prefer stick a youth team player in the squad than Lampard.

Why is that? He would only be on half our top earner.

Without being rude there really are some naive people on here

Who's the top on earner on 180k?
Harry seemed dismayed yesterday at the wages being handed out at the club, so i'm only agreeing with what he said. He thought 65k for bosingwa was far too much for a club our size, so 90k would be even worse.

If they get shot of only half what is being reported this could be a very shrewd bit of biz. The only worry is an injury?

Lampard would go straight into out midfield - he is far better than any you you mention.
