Sounds like a bit of sense has prevailed with a settlement out of court, best for all parties concerned. http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/norwich-city-club-statement-558221.aspx Although it´s hard to tell from that which, if either, of the parties were most wronged.
An agreement has been made in the legal battle. (Apologies if I appear obsessed on the topic, after all it is the first thread I've started on the topic).
Villa have agreed to pay us what was in Lambert's contract, and we have paid Lambert's bonus for last. Dispute over. On Official Site now.
Sorry RBF you lose! Never argue with a lady, or as my Granny used to say, "Thas no good putting your foot down if you hen't got a leg to stand on!"
Well it appears when you merge threads they appear in chronological order, I was going to put yours first gg, honest I was!
Has anyone seen Mcnally's twitter? He's chosen some funny tweets to respond to with no further comment, pretty sure he must have a sense of humour! Glad it's settled now though the lambert chapter is fully closed and hughtons is coming along nicely
Assume we got a bit of villa, actually he was only on a year rolling wasnt he We just got back in after being out - 8-0 to Chelsea are you serious??????!!!!!
I would assume we've come out of this fairly evenly, if not slightly better off ourselves out of this, and we've certainly not had the dent to our January transfer budget some feared. I'm hoping someone with some legal nous can clarify, but I'd imagine the bonus would be less than the compo we received? I remember hearing that managers tend to be paid in line with the top players at a club, so say PL was on £25k a week, that's £1.3m a year, so I'd guess that would be the cost to buy PL out of his NCFC contract? Surely the bonus would be less?
I'm just glad that common sense has prevailed at the end of the day and that a tribunal won't be required.
This is good news. The one slight "blight" that had been hanging above the club this year was this, and I'm glad it's been sorted out. We will have learned from this I'm sure and McNally and co will surely run the good ship Canary even tighter as a result. I love supporting a well run club. OTC
well at least Mr H knows exactly what funds he has at his disposal should he wish to use them, excellent stuff and to see Villa given a damn good thrashing made my day. Lets hope we can give Chelski a good game they look a bit keen. scoring twice after 90 mins when you are 6-0 up is a bit scary!
