Winter transfer rumours 2012/13

Would love it if we signed Austin, Wood and either Paul Robinson or David Stockdale. Also Brady and Elmo on permanent deals.

 

Danny Graham on loan for the second half of the season, a northern lad that can hardly get a game due to the freak Michu.

 

Has Meyler Been recalled yet or is he in the squad for the game on boxing day?

 

Not been recalled yet, probably because he's suspended!

And even if we only sign one player this transfer window, i'd love it to be Wood, only 21 and hes bound to improve buy for 1.5/2 million sell in the future for 4/5!

 

How many games is Meyler out for?

 

Just the one, i think its because he has had 5 yellow cards

 

Looks like Fulham are about to sign a new keeper so looking good for Stockdale to return.

 

I think Stockdale will be the first player we sign in January either permanent or on loan

I've heard that Campbell has given due thought to coming to us and has been advised well by somebody at Man U (Joyce?). I've been told a few names, some strikers (some mentioned on here eg. Campbell, Wood, Becchio, Austin, some not - Nugent at Leicester was one that surprised me, they'd be asking a lot given the history of sales between the two clubs), Stockdale has been enquired about on a permanent and as I mentioned before, we've been looking at Simon Moore at Brentford; for some reason Mellis at Barnsley has been mentioned, I can only think it's because of his assists rate because I don't see why we'd need another CM. Jack Hunt was also mentioned as a possibility, but only if we can't extend/buy Brady.

I'd be happy with any of the above, there are clearly going to be more on the list but my guy on the inside only gets to hear what he's told. I've asked him to try and steal the list but apparently it's not actually a written list. I always imagined it to look like an Xmas list with "Dear Mr Allam" at the top.

 

Jacob Mellis will be a great signing IMO only 21 and great on the ball, 7 assists in a fairly low scoring team this season!

 

We wont have much longer to wait. Then this topic can be put to bed one way or another for good.

SB may well sign up 2 new strikers But i dont see McLean leaving at all. He has a role to play and is superby for squad morale. His departure could upset the apple cart imo.

They would. Lol. They also think they are getting Burnleys Charlie Austin. We shall all soon find out.

Not very well. Was sold to Cardiff City in the last summer and is now a long term / season injury miss. Wont play again this season it seams.

 

Is Bruce's team more tight lipped then previous teams? It seems strange that we havent had any rumours really to speak of. There is the FC rumour but we would have that no matter what anyway.

 

Very true. The Allam/Bruce ship is well tight and long MAY that continue.

i'd take Beccio , not that bothered about Campbell tho - i dont think he is anything we dont already have really unlike 2007/8.
