A lot of names being discussed on Humberside.
    - Wood (even named by Bruce)
    - Campbell
    - Becchio
    - Robinson

Doubt Becchio would ever happen as well as Campbell, but Wood would be brilliant. Is there anyone else under our radar?

Surely Wood will be harder to get than Becchio or Campbell?*

*In terms of having an offer accepted I mean. With Campbell there is of course always the possibility of him ****ing us about.

It was on tigers player, he said something to the effect that he was watching the situation and that he believed there would be 4 or 5 clubs in for him.

You would think that Chris Wood is the championships version of lionel messi the way everyone bangs on about him on here....

The entire top half of the table are after him! Every message board has a 'Wood' post/topic.

Only 3 clubs in the championship have a chance of Chris Wood. Hull City are one of them. (according to ssn)

I was talking to a chap last night and his mate is a director at City and he said the Wood thing is a smoke screen, "this sounds like a wind up with wood and smoke screen " it will be Campbell making a return and that's who Bruce wants I personally would love to see him back.

The stumbling point again is his dad but he reckons its a formality with just the t's to cross and the i's to dot, fingers crossed.

I would rather have Wood. For the romantics that want Campbell back, what has he done since he left us? Apart from 2 serious knee injuries? His career is going backwards!

Realistically you would take either but it is Christmas so both would suffice

    That's better ;)

I think we could do with a couple anyway, didn't do West Ham any harm. If we get promoted, we can always loan/sell if they don't cut the Premier league mustard.

I would suggest that the Campbell thing is the smoke screen. I would further suggest that Brucies confirmed targets are only known to the Allams and Bruce himself. No more leaks in other words. Meylers tweets on friday were very interesting as well. Stockdales too.!!!

It will be interesting to see now you have said that, I am not normally privy to inside information but the chap I was talking too was told the only way we would be interested in Wood was ifbthe Campbell one fell through.

He was adamant that Campbell will be the signing.

The Campbell thing looks like a smoke screen to me too and I hope it is. I dont see why we need him. With the current squad, and unless Aluko's buggering off somewhere, where would he fit in?

We need a proven poacher to get on the end of all these crosses Elmo\Brady are sticking in. Having said that, poachers dont come as deep as Simmo has been to hold the ball up....

I like Campbell as a player but he's not a target man to hold up the ball. If we can get a EPL forward who is ,I'd like Pogrebnyak .I don't recall the Tigers ever having a Russian in the squad.

Bar one or two, the majority of the top scorers in the Championship tend to be tall/bigger build types who are good in the air and like to put their weight about a bit....

Holt & Lambert were the benchmark of the last few seasons, look at this season, the likes off Murray, Austin, Becchio, as well as King, Wood and Deeney all fit that mould.

the rest (other pacey/tricky striker type), we already have in the mould of Aluko.
