The Ultimate roast turkey recipe..

I am cooking the christmas dinner this year and consider myself pretty handy in the kitchen, i have opted for a free range Norfolk black with cranberry orange and roast chestnut stuffing, i found Delias recipe and will use it with a few tweaks along the way.
I will smother the bird in butter and cover with streaky bacon then wrap foil around the tin creating an oven within an oven.
Must grab some goose fat for the spuds tomorrow and make proper gravy from giblets etc . The sprouts with bacon and lemon zest , savoy cabbage and corn for the kids plus a few green beans.
Anyone got any good turkey tips ?

Sounds revolting as do all newly fangled poncey stuffing recipes as favoured by ****s and *****s. Cranberry, orange and nuts? Why not stick some whipped cream on the top and call it a ****ing trifle?

Sage and Onion is the only way to stuff a bird.

 

Although I dont have Turkey I agree with Stopme.

Keep the queer **** outta stuffing.

Trust me, if you'd ever tasted my ex-wife's cooking you'd understand why I never let her near the kitchen. She was barking though, you got that bit right.

 

My Mrs eats rice

 

Do a herb infused butter, with parsley garlic and lemon juice. Then squeeze the butter under the skin of the turkey prior to cooking.. Then put your bacon over the top of the turkey.

You are the man................ That looks better than the fruity queer stuffing that i was going to use... Just need some parsley, i`m sure dried will do Merry Christmas returnofthesweatband

 

Fruity stuffing should be banned.


Best stuffing is sage onion and garlic. Then squeeze a pack of good quality sausages into the stuffing mix then make ya stuffing balls.

 

My ex is Muslim and doesn`t like me feeding the kids pork, i will have to rename the pigs in blankets to something less porky sounding ....
