Having to suffer to be honest some of the most abject displays in my life time this season there lies a question in the lap of Mr Fernandes does he stick or twist? Does he allow Harry to change the squad again or only adjust slightly.

I cant see Bosingwa playing in the hoops again and SWP,Granero,Ferdinand, hoilett and Zamora can go with him. There lies the main problem and all the money being wasted on over rated ****ers.Lets not forget Mr Fernandes's first major bit of business was the erstwhile Mr Barton which in my opinion started the ball firmly rolling down the hill.

Ryan Nelsen has been revelation this season but at 34 hasn't got much longer left in the top flight as has Clint Hill.So replacing them leaves M'bia,Fabio and Traore and that is simply not enough. My main concern is if we go down we are left with a squad earning huge wages and not getting the money in to balance the books.

The word implosion will come into play if it does happen as the huge drop in revenue will cut off many arteries and cause massive clots in the plans. Some might not like this next few paragraphs but because of my passion for my club i think it needs saying.

Mr Fernandes has been extremely naive in the transfer dealings and has regularly been raped by agents and players alike and needs to toughen up otherwise we are ****ed again.Mark Hughes was given £1 MILL bonus to keep us up and cost as good as £10 mill to be shown the door along with his backroom staff.

The very same backroom staff he had at city until they realized that they weren't good enough for their plans and dumped them. Then in comes Harry who must be on a very decent wage to take on the job in the first place. In my view he has chucked too much money at it too quick and is now starting to find out how easily a fool is parted with his money.

Constantly on Twitter and Facebook we see posts on how well Air Asia is doing and going from strength to strength but running an airline is vastly different from a football club.An airline relies on it's customers for profits and cheap fares bring in the punters. It simply doesn't work like that at a football club because of the massive over heads i.e. the players wages.

There is no commercial pilot or stewardess who earns £50k a week compared to footballers so surely there lies the clue of the difference between the two vastly different entities.Norwich and Swansea have not thrown millions at squads and are doing very nicely thank you, where we have chucked a fair few million around and are struggling like a floundering albatross in a hurricane.

In my view this chucking £ after £ at a quick fix HAS to stop otherwise we yet again dive quicker than the titanic towards the lower leagues.I want premier league football of course i do but not at the cost of the very roots and foundations of my beloved club, the facts are we simply cant afford to carry on the way we are.

Good post ade was thinking of doing one on the same lines I think if we don't get maximum points out of the next two games we should do as you say by getting shot of these players and would add Cesar & Park and start preparing for the chamionship with a younger cheaper set of players including bringing some through the ranks.

On top of this we will lose Taarabt, Faurlin and Mackie as these will be tempted away by other prem clubs.

Thankyou Mr Hughes for the legacy!!!!!

Yeah, good stuff Ade. I've made similar comments about Fernandes' naïveté on another thread. This naïveté stretches to him getting somewhat carried away on social media too and I hope he's learned his lesson and will resist the temptation to extol the virtues of his team or manager too freely in future. It just makes him look a bit of a prick when he then has to make changes.

I suspect we'll find a few players leaving in the window, perhaps on loan, with a number of loans coming in too. It's time to plan for relegation: some of the squad are poor at PL level, but will be OK in the tier below. QPR can't afford to pay some of these knobs off whilst signing yet more journeymen on expensive contracts that have to be honoured alongside the revenue drop that comes with descent.

    Great article.

Whilst I love QPR, I'm afraid I am very glad it is not my money at great risk here.

Scary days for all of us.

If Fernandes has been turned over by Joorabchian may God help him in Jakarta!

Mittal's need to move in and back Harry 100%.

Have to give one thing to Abramovich, if that pair of scamsters had tried that it on with him we'd have been reading their obituaries by now. Speaking of which who negotiated the Torres deal?

Agree with the OP about Fernandes getting ripped off, the sorry state of the squad and the likely problems if we go down, but I'm not going to worry about the financial mismanagement of rangers unless the owners go bust or sell us to Ken Bates for a pound. Of course the club should live within its means, of course we shouldn't pay over the odds on wages. But Fernandes and the rest live in a different financial world to he rest of us. We are an expensive hobby to them, and while they probably aren't pleased Harry has gone public with comments about them being 'caught with their pants down' the money itself is peanuts compared to their day jobs. Let them waste their cash. They are following the local trend. How much has Al Fayed wasted on Fulham? Or you know who on Chelsea? Its a badge of honour to waste cash - shows they are still in the bigger game.

    Great post.
Several poor teams in the Prem this year, so still an outside chance of survival. The plan has to be to get rid of the non performing high earners now (Bosingwa,Cisse,Granero, SWP) and bring in a couple of loans and DJ and Young. Bust a gut with what’s left until seasons end and then lose the remaining dicks in the summer if we go down (Ferdinand, Barton, Bothroyd) With these off our wage bill we would not be too bad. Minor surgery is all that’s needed now and Harry seems to be suggesting that.

Agree although Barton might be just what we need in in the NPC with Harry in charge. Can seriously see that working very well indeed.
