they were better side at 1st half, UTD was good at many moments at first half .. but 2nd half was one side playing football facing 10 behind the goal .. win to UTD should had been the fair result tbh .. but again they defended well and did fight for every ball so good for them .. can't complain .. is good to football to see squads with less wages and money giving us a run .. well done for them
Really!!! Could say the same about Jones' collapse to the ground when de Guzman was through in first half. Overall a better point for Swansea. Sat back to much in second and allowed you to play. Thankfully your final 3rd play was poor!
That was a foul, You played well tho shame we couldn't get the winner but ohwel.4 points top at Christmas!
Really, wasn't it Evans anyway? It was a clear foul as Michu clearly blocked him. Can't really argue with the result as we were very poor in front of goal, especially Rooney. Still think it's quite a good point as I had my reservations about this game. I thought Giggsy played well when he came on.
You're right, it was Evans. The commentators here in the US thought that it was a favorable call for Utd, but you can see it from both sides. I'm just pleased we gave you a game after a couple of dodgy performances.
I certainly wouldn't have said it was a favourable call as you can see the intent in replays. I thought Swansea played well, especially the first half.
There is a thread for this...You started it. Also if you go on the Chelsea board there are another 2 threads for this. Started by the other chuckle brother. (The ****ing irony of it.His teams playing Aston Villa an he still obsessed with United )
You can say what ever you want, that was a very serious and dangerous incident, that's why RVP got angry and Sir Alex, on the back of his head and with that power he kicked the ball with, it could of caused a serious neck injury.
We had to carry Rooney for 75 minutes which didn't help but yeah i think you played well in the first half in particular.
If you want to see anti football you've got the wrong Welsh team. They play in the championship about 40 miles from us
**** me, you have some ****ers on here. Cheating Swansea? Anti football Swansea? Worst performance of the season? What the **** are you on about. Is there anyone out there that can give little old Swansea a little credit? I don't blow our own trumpet, but we were well worth the draw today. We both missed chances and our defense kept you at bay. Yes, your Man Utd, but that doesn't give you god's right to three points. Try being a bit gracious, it doesn't harm.
Not sure what game you were watching. I was there. Swansea managed nine shots on target, no side has hit more against Man Utd this season. Also we took off 2 midfielders and replaced them with attackers. Hardly negative intent. United bossed the second half and we had to defend.
Todays game highlights the reason why Rooney can never be a world class midfielder because his short passing is very average and without that you can't control a midfield in todays game. Its great when you are hitting hollywood passes out to the wings, but control of the midfield lies in keeping the ball and and against a better team if you lose the ball as much as he does, you get punished. It reminds me of when a lot of utd fans wanted Alan Smith to play in midfield because he was a hard tackler, they all thought he could replace Roy Keane, even SAF bought in to it, but sadly it never worked out, as a lot of uneducated fans think Keano was just a hard tackler lung busting runner, but he was a very good passer he hardly ever gave the ball away his passing percentage was always in the nineties and that is why he always controlled the tempo of most utd games. The same goes for Phil Jones, people think because he tackles hard and runs all day he would make a good midfielder albeit defensive, but the key to being a midfielder especially the defensive ones are their economical use of the ball and the one thing phil jones is not is economical with the ball.
I think you'll find it's largely the same person making those comments and everyone else is pointing out you were good value for the point. Which you were - matched us in the first half, scored a cracking goal and then stayed solid and didn't wilt under our pressure in the second. As for the one about our worst performance of the season, it arguably was. Doubt we've misplaced that many passes in all the other games we've played combined! Whether that was down to Swansea playing well or just us being **** is up for debate, but our passing today was utterly ****e - Rooney in particular just lost the ball when under no pressure whatsoever.
