If anyone needed any more proof (although even the dogs in the street knew it long before now) that our squad is rotten to the core, then there it is. There can be absolutely no ambiguity now. Our Manager has served up the truth; cold, hard and on a plate. For some of you this will be hard to take and no doubt one or two will continue to squirm and try and wriggle their way out of it. But its time for the few remaining nitwits to take their heads out of the sand. A large number of our players are a disgrace to the badge and should never have been allowed near the Club. Hughes and his cronies colluded with agents to bring in these crooks and its these kinds of actions that have utterly destroyed good Clubs in the relatively recent past. It cannot be overstated. The mess that they've left us in is massive and if Harry can't perform a miracle to keep us up, then next season could be financially calamitous. This leaves us with one remaining conundrum. Why are there still a number of "supporters" that insist on letting these money-grabbing mercenaries off the hook? Even now, after that shambolic display and Redknapp's press-conference, there are a small number of people defending the indefensible. Blaming every one and anyone except the players who couldn't care less about our Club if they tried. Its to these people I ask the following question: Where is your loyalty? Why do you demean the Club so much that you would allow this kind of behaviour go without comment? Do you really think so little of QPR FC that you would tolerate such blatant disregard for its history and traditions? What it is that propels you to leap to the defence of a bunch of opulent charlatans who disrespect you so obviously? Are you really that slavish? Where is your self-respect you wretched serfs? This blind support for those that are wrecking our Club is pathetic and it makes me physically ill to read such worthless apologies. Gentlemen, we have some traitors in our midst and they are not QPR supporters. Its time to weed them out and expose them for what they are.
Totally agree mate. There are literally a handful of players who deserve our support and respect: Nelsen, Hill, Derry, Mackie, Taarabt (yes he causes discussion but he has the passion) to name most of them. Possibly 1 or 2 others to add to the list. The rest are a disgrace.
Can I again record my objection to the potential signing of Mr J Cole, Msr N Anelka and that *** ****** Lampard
Three people were reponsible for signing that load of over paid, over the hill rubbish: Kia Joorabchian, Mark Lesley Hughes and Tony Fernandes. Personally i do not blame the players concerned as in their position we all would have taken the money however much we may pretend we wouldn't have. One of the three is still with us, not good.
Swords, Your posts are becoming better all the time but I'm uncertain what points you are trying to make. You don't name the players or the fans that you regard as traitors for defending those players. I'm not ready to join any lynch mob just because there's a party and a bandwagon rolling into town. I know who my weak links are and we have a manager who seems to have decided for himself. Overall though I'm not sure this helps at all. Interestingly, he seems to have been convinced that the players brought to the club when we were a humble Championship side by the much maligned Neil Warnock deserve their place and the ones brought in by the much hyped Mark Hughes need to be shown the door. Over-simplification I know as most of Warnock's purchases during last summer's transfer window were disastrous but as we know, the Goons put paid to any sensible transfer planning by sucking every last penny out before finally selling on with one week left to go of the window. Only the players nobody wanted were still on the shelf at that stage. We now know why. Let's leave it to Harry to try his best and do what we do best - get behind the team he picks. Fortress Loftus Road. Away? We have to play all our rivals. We can win some of those six pointers. Time to stop patting ourselves on the back when we give the big boys a good close game and end up losing by the odd goal. We have little to lose in those games. The games where our players should be ready to die for the cause are the away games against the teams in the lower half of the table and our remaining home games.
Judo, its you I feel sorry for mate. You, Oddball, Nines and countless others on here. I'm a ranter and raver and I don't even live in England so it doesn't affect me as much. But honest, optimistic guys like you lot that sleep, eat and breathe Rangers are the biggest losers in this scenario. You had faith, gave the best of support any team could ask for, made sacrifices and backed this bunch of players until you could do no more. You guys were the ones with most to lose and I think that, in a sense, you have been stabbed in the back. Betrayed almost. Just read any of Nines' posts. You can feel the emotion running through them. You yourself have posted match reports on numerous occasions after yet another lack lustre display yet kept them well-balanced, eloquent and continued to support the players when people like me wouldn't have the time or the patience. The season-ticket holders like COL who brings his young lad along full of hope, only to be let down time and again by this group who have the nerve to call themselves professionals. Its very easy to castigate. Any fool can do it - I'm a specialist! But it takes thought, insight and composure to construct a positive argument. There have been chaps on this Board that have continued to do that despite ever increasing attacks and derision (from me and others) and refused to give up hope in this squad. Its those guys that I feel really bad for tonight. Its those loyal R's that have been double-crossed and they have my sympathy.
Swords, you're point that fellow fans/supporters/followers must now smell the coffee that is the reality of the true extent of the money-grubbing, mercenary couldn't-care-less squad assembled by Hughes is a good one. None of that must surely be beyond doubt. What I do believe is unnecessary is the OTT attack on those that at worst have been guided by misplaced optimism and faith in the previous management team, as well by the erroneous assumption that a squad populated by footballing "names" would have all that is required in that alone to be a successful one. You may well be sore at the reaction you've had from your many emotive posts of recent times, but now's the time for everybody to get on the same page, recognise where they were wrong and move on. To exaggerate about being physically ill reading worthless apologies and describing those that held differing opinions traitors are not particularly helpful.
I'm staggered by your position, Imaz. Fernandes appointed a football man with PL experience as manager, would presumably have felt vindicated by survival last season, then trusted and backed Hughes financially to take the club to the next level. Hindsight tells us Hughes was the wrong appointment (some of us were underwhelmed by it at the time) and suggests Fernandes has been naive too, but he's a successful businessman moving into a different market and will have learned his lesson. He will either decide enough is enough and move on at the end of the season, or he'll take his medicine and learn from it going forward.
Bosingwa, Cesar, Cisse, Derry, Diakite, Dyer, Ephraim, Fabio, Faurlin, Ferdinand, Green, Hoilett, Hill, Johnson, Mackie, Mbia, Murphy, Nelsen, Onuoha, Park, Taarabt, Traore, Wright-Phillips, Zamora , Granero The ones in bold are those i'm certain wouldn't be here were it not for the money. The underlined ones are the maybes. Redknapp-"Theres some good lads here and there's some other lads who shouldn't be here, but I've got to keep going with the good lads and add one or two more good lads to the good ones." Hopefully Young & Campbell are two "good" ones who'll be added to the 25 in January. It might be time to start offloading some of the saleable big-earners in case the worst should happen as well... (granero?)
Have never trusted him, the Mittals are a different matter. One may not like their business practices but financially they are solid and based on reality. I'm sorry but something just isn't right about TF and no amount of British Public School accent will sort that for me. https://airasiafamilies.wordpress.com/category/tony-fernandes/page/2/
Yorkshire, I'm sure you appreciate my delicate position on this Board at this present time so naming the fans would probably be an unwise course to take. Needless to say, you were most certainly not one of those I had in mind. As for the players, well where do I start? The first one that springs to mind is Djbril Cisse. Another would be Jose Bosingwa. Anton Ferdinand would be another as would Esteban Granero. Ji Sung Park I believe to be one too although some will disagree. David Hoilett has been a big let down too although I'm not sure if that's due to his attitude or he's simply not as good as I thought he'd be. Samba Diakite has been off-form all season and if reports are true about Bobby Zamora's antics in the canteen every day then I would question his mental faculties. Armand Traore has let himself and us down more than once since he's arrived and I don't mean just by playing badly and I've seen Phillips stop running after people in games because he couldn't be arsed. And from what I'd seen of Fabio before today, there were echoes of Federico Macheda's "I'm too big for this Club" demeanour in his sauntering around the pitch. (Taarabt isn't in there because at least the lad tries). In essence, with the individual quality we have at the Club, its a disgrace that we are where we are with one win in almost a half season of football played. And it annoys me no end to hear people who claim they support QPR, let these people off the hook. It actually shocks me Yorkie.
Uber, please don't think that I'm having a go at those lads. If you look at my response to Judo above, those are the very fellows that I feel sorry for. They're the ones who have been let down here, not really me. My fire was directed at those who still won't lay any blame at all at the doors of the players who are only here for a quick buck and don't even try. There's one very obvious culprit and he really should know better at his age. Fair comment old chap. I was ranting a bit at the end there. Pay no heed. That said, those people that lick the arses of these punks do vex me to a substantial degree.
Swords your right mate, I think you make some really good valid points in this thread. I'm struggling to perceive the immediate future after this latest performance. I think we'll be lucky to get a point from our next two fixtures. I wished I could elaborate more and I'm sorry this reply is so brief. Your comments deserve better but I'm at work at the moment and my phone is struggling with an internet connection. Its taking ages for the pages to load, bloody Vodafone are useless.
Bloody hell, don't neglect that fire on my account mate! I don't want to be responsible for someone's gcaff burning down!
I think you've got it spot-on here Grifter, trouble is you'll need a real Del-Boy to be able to sell any of that lot on their current performances. We were in a similar, albeit less costly situation, in the Championship a couple of years ago with some of the big money signings from 2007-08. It's a bit like watching a pile-up on a motorway, you know it's gonna happen and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Swords, just because some people don't share your Oscar Wilde style drama-queen antics doesn't mean they don't care or hurt as much as you do. One or two of the mercenaries have shown some flashes of class, but it has been all to brief and you sense they know they've been sussed. I think the 'outs' could be far more interesting than the 'ins' in January...
Swords - Some valid points in there I'm sure but can I ask your opinion on what YOU think these 'nitwits', 'traitors' and 'wretched serfs' should do ?? Should they hold demos calling for the team and board to be sacked ? Should they rip up their season tickets in disgust and never darken the door of Loftus Rd again ? Or should they still continue to support the team, home and away ? Not having a pop mate just you point out a lot of the problems with some fans and no possible solutions. I'm interested in any ideas and thoughts.
