Not really news, he's been saying he misses Utd for a while now and would love to return some day. Seems like he didn't realise quite how good he had it here, given how much he talks about the atmosphere and the players around him.
I don't understand how his value has gone up since we sold him, after all he is 3 years older than when we sold him, and at 27 may only have 3 or 4 more years at his absolute peak. So the 122 million Madrid would expect sounds ridiculous. If anything his value should have come down a little. Don't really see it happening anyways, as I'm not sure we have that sort of money, and even if we do 122 million would be better spent on 4 or 5 younger players. Having said that it would still be great to get him back
Apparently its civil war in the Madrid dressing room with some bickering and in fighting happening between Casillas and co. Casillas was also dropped yesterday so its no surprise to hear Ronaldo talking about the atmosphere whilst he was at United because it must have been great compared to that of Madrid.
I think there is no doubt that CR would improve the team if he came back. But that is NOT realistic. He left for 80 million and even at that high price he was worth it for Madrid. he is still at his peak and I cannot see ANY club forking out the £100 million neded to prise him away from the spanish giants. Possibly some insanely rich club with more money than sense (like PSG) could attempt it. United would be better off buying 3-4 top class players to build up the side...
It's always civil war in the Madrid dressing room. Smartest think Spain ever did was to stop relying on Real so much for players. Still pretty impressive that, for all his experience and ego, Mourinho still can't get player power under control there.
