said it for ages. Chelsea will be fine regarding FFP but City are insanely ****ed. Anyone who thinks City will be fine must be off their tits. They are a nothing club. They cklaim the have tripled this income source, doubled that one and done this or that. All well and good but tripling a previous income of £0.96p isnt really going to help.
Would they? I think both sides players have been **** and if signed on form and not reputation they would make hug losses on all of their salable assets bar one or 2 exceptions. Oscar being that one exception. The rest, for both City and Chelsea have been really poor. Aguero and Silva, rubbish players. Aguero could just be out of form but Silvas been a pile of **** ffor a year. Yaya, one off season last season. Nasri, joke of a player. Milner is one of Citys best players and he'd fetch a few docker *** ends on a good day. So no, firesales wouldnt help if they had too.
Thing what you're forgetting is we signed up about 10 new sponsors this year, and one of them is with GAZPROM which is a russian company and Roman use to own or have shares in it. So i'd guess that like the PSG and City deals it is a dodgy one and we'll be getting big big payments per season. Zenit are getting 20 million a year from them. With about 10 new sponsors we'll meet it easy, City will be fine as well. Also if we really didn't think we could make it why would we have backed it and been in favour of it?
UEFA are keen to ensure that owners do not artificially inject cash into the club as a way of circumventing the FFP rules. Consequently they are set up a dedicated panel to review transactions made with 'connected parties' to ensure the transactions are carried out at a 'Fair Value'. 'Connected parties' include the club owners and any family of owners who can influence the club. The panel are able to assign a 'Fair Value' rate to a transaction for the purposes of FFP calculations. The 'Fair Value' may not necessarily be the same as the Market Value. Roman, I mean GAZPROM, could sponsor Chelsea a billion pounds a season for all anyone cares. You'd still end up failing FFP when UEFa takes a look at it. Im sure there are plenty of legitimate businesses willing to throw vast amounts of money away at a team struggling to meet FFP, who finished 6th in the league and failed to make it out of the CL group stages though.
Champions League football for 2013 is looking unlikely for the Chavs. How will Roman financially dope that or will he just lose interest?
City and Chelsea could easily raise a lot by selling Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Kompany, Mata, Hazard, Ramires and Oscar. They'd make a loss on what they paid for them, but they'd still raise a lot when you consider Sturridge is going for £12 million. And either way, the fire sale is not to raise cash, it's to lose wages. Those eight players are easily costing City and Chelsea £40 million or so per annum when you factor in tax, agents, insurance etc. Dump them and they'd manage to be relatively solvent even without the outside cash, although City would probably have to dump quite a lot more overpaid baggage (they still own Santa Cruz and Bridge!) to be fully secure. Gazprom is a Russian government owned company, that deal is almost entirely due to Abramovich owning Chelsea. If Roman decides to jack it in that contract would disappear sooner than you could say do svidinya. Good luck trying to enforce a contract with the Russian government - you would join a long line behind Shell, BP and Ukraine I'm sure Malaga fans were saying the same thing as they basked in CL qualification last year. Oh how times change. Even the threat of FFP has seen your title chances vanish for yet another season
Swarbs I can't tell if you're trying to get a bite or just being plain thick, Roman has been with us for nigh on 10 years now, every 'loophole' and stopgap will have been taken care of and we are now classed as a big club with a huge fan base who has been consistently winning major honours for a large duration of that period - Malaga (and arguably City), have not. Can't believe the old 'Roman will get bored' line is being thrown around, get over it you petulant bitters If that's the bite you were after, I hope it hurt.
Wasn't actually looking for a bite Drogs, just pointing out that regardless of how long Roman has been with you you can never be certain of anything. Same could apply to Utd - we still have debt and a prolonged period of poor performance would make that an issue for us. It's not very likely, but as long as there's a possibility I'd never reply to comments about it with "Enjoy your fantasy" or other such head in sand ignorance. Tho' maybe I'm giving LF too much credit with that... As for the loopholes and stopgaps they are, as always for a football club, sell the high earning players until revenue equals expenses and hope you haven't fallen too far when the accounts balance again. That's all you can ever have as a club - do you really think Roman has taken out some sort of magic insurance policy to protect Chelsea against every future occurrence? And whilst I wasn't looking for a bite, it's still nice to get one!
hhh ... yepp financial experts in UEFA are punch of idiots .. you are deluded if you think you can get away with it.. everything you gonna put will be compared to what other clubs get and sources will be checked why you think your club is losing players years after years that your bench are now pathetically look skinned .. if he can get away with it why you think he pushed you to get the club having profit for first time ? he is so scared that he is sh**ting himself
Precisely, it could happen to any club in Europe so my point is why is it just City and Chelsea in the title?
You're still missing my point entirely and what the **** does our bench have to do with any of this? Oh hark at Mr 'we have too much class to mock rivals dropping into Europa' we will by the way, a trip to prague in February, always wanted to visit.
A) You're the two clubs most at risk as you are the ones currently making the largest and most regular losses without exceptional successes or gains B) The person who made the thread may have somewhat biased views on the subject
You misunderstand the concept of bitterness. United being the far bigger more successful club and one still challenging for honours is not going to be bitter about Chelsea. Its the other way round. As for Roman getting bored? ofc he will. Since you stopped spending 100 million a season you've won precisely one CL and you fluked it! If he can't spend the vast sums you need to compete what's he going to stick around for? your style of play!?
I was commenting on the part that Abra was working on those holes in FFP and everything is fixed !! Comn there is no way you can be certain about that.. is just your wishful thinking talking tbh UEFA not only closed all holes, but said every new hole if been exposed by a club will be closed via new laws.. so it is a losing battle for Abra in the long term anyway even if he was lucky to find any hole by the way i was just teasing the other guy regarding Europa league, am sure you will be around in CL for some time wish you all the luck .. it is not an easy competition as some may think as there are many good sides around
still missing my point. I did not say 'working holes', there will have been loopholes from the start and Roman will have prepared for something like this since buying the club, you act like if we don't get into Europe anymore then he'll literally vanish why are you honestly so obsessed with ffp and chelsea?
FFP was not in the map when he bought chelsea, not even when city owners bought the club .. as it was only been agreed at 2009 it was a totally unexpected event ..
