Mmmmmm, can't get overly excited about it. He's a decent player but don't think his attitude is right. But if he becomes a Liverpool player then he will have my support.
Strange timing, suppose we will know if he has or hasn't depending if he's in the Chelsea 18 tomorrow against Villa.
Think he could be a good signing. Was really good at Bolton on loan then last year scored goals for Chelsea even though he was behind Drogba/Torres in the pecking order. £12mil isn't too bad considering his age and potential & he's experienced in the Premiership. Lets be honest if he taes some of the scoring burden off Suarez then will be a good addition.
Think they'd take Johnson back in a heart beat over there previous RB's in Bosingwa and old Ferreira Rocher. Hopefully Sturridge turns out to be a Johnson rather than a Cole. All 3 of ours that have gone to Chelsea have turned out crap... just think what may have happened to Gerrard had he moved on.
Disallowed goal was fair, be annoyed if it was against and disappointed if it wasn't allowed if you're for it. The red cards are both ridiculous, the Cole one possibly affected the game though.
Remember the last time we brought in the cavalry.... I hope Sturridge does the business, I hope he has learned that his attitude needs a change? I can't see Rodgers going after him unless he is confident that he is going to work within the system, the team, and add his own flair.
Disallowed goal was right decision. Obvious obstruction on keeper, no intention of going for ball. Red cards were ridiculous though. I'd say 'at least he was consistent' but he let the first one on Collins go
To be fair to Sturridge he was pretty epic for Bolton in that half season. Lets hope he can recapture that form
Don't get why he would be having a medical tomorrow. The transfer window does not open for another nine days, are Chelsea committed to not playing or training him...?
Can only go by the highlights and Football First, but it looked to me like Everton were all over them, and had the Jelavic of last season been playing he'd have got four. Dreadful ref, and the sending off obviously did effect the game. But Everton deserved it and they'll look back on this day as just three points, and hopefully the sendings-off will be rescinded.
