Afternoon all - well Tesco was done first thing and just working through the list of chores Mrs W_Y has developed. Just a couple of hours and then I am off out for a few beers and then we are all going out for the family Xmas meal - well it will be all if #2 son returns home. Tonight I am in Calais, when I should be in Newhaven. Text this morning to say that my ferry was broken and would not be running again before Boxing Day at the earliest. Didn't feel like missing Christmas dinner, so found an alternative route. It means a lot more driving, but should be home before Santa turns up.

Man in Dover wanted to know if I had any guns or knives in the boot of the car. No says I quite truthfully. The knife I carry around in France was still in my pocket.

To be honest I thought man in Dover looked very dodgy and could well have been a gun runner.
