We've got to stop this trend of giving a goal away with the opposition having their first attack/shot of the match. The last 3 home games we've done it and it's cost us points against Barnsley and Cardiff and only Dave Nugent saved us from it hapening against Derby. Back to todays game, first 20 minutes I thought to myself 'This is as good as we've played this season' and they go up the other end and cross it, poor clearance and in the second phase a bobbling ball drops to Bellamy who scores a great goal. We had the chances to win 4 games but didn't take them, shame really because we're now going into Jan now looking to stay in the top 6 rather than get back into the top 2. 12 points from 11 games is the slump we're currently on, early season form is carrying us right now. STILL yet to be properly impressed by a team in this league. So frustrating to see nobody take it by the scruff of it's neck. If we go to Hull and Burnley and get results it'll send us into the transfer window in a better position and we're fully capable of doing it. But we just need to get back into gear and get this promotion bandwagon back on the road. Onwards
Yes thanks, but it's not me that's obsessed with us is it really?? Nigel left you about 14 months get over it FFS
On another day that would have been 3 points King hit the post, Vardy hit the bar, Morgan, Nugent and Knockaert twice made the keeper make very good saves. Nugent had 1 off the line The midfield was too easily over ran at times which is something which needs looking at. Vardy tried to make things happen for himself today for the first time in a long time and was unlucky not to come away with a goal. In truth though we do need another striker to partner Nugent but Waggy did play well when he came on
Yep, i agree with everything above. I dont even care if we dont go up this year, we are clearly moving in the right direction in terms of building an improving squad with the right ethic.
Silverware, we don't care, follow City everywhere. How the eckythump did you not score today? You looked quality on the highlights.
^ because Vardy offers everything but goals (bar/post twice i remember), Knockaert doesnt pass only shoot and king wont score till he gets a goal (i know that makes no sense, but you get what i mean!)
I watched this game on the 'puter and thought the only difference between us, was that they took their chance and we couldn't take any of our 20 chances
In some ways you remind me of us (Cardiff City) recently. A good side, improving all the time, just missing out in the playoffs etc. If you don't make it this year, don't panic because I'm sure promotion will happen for you sooner or later. Good luck with that, and make sure you get there before Leeds!
