Great performance. Enrique, Gerrard and Downing particularly good today. I think Lucas and Gerrard had an excellent partnership in the middle of the pitch, I think rodgers should stick with it. Leave Allen on the bench.

    I agree.

Who do you think should play between them and Suarez?

What did you think of Shelvey today?

Still doesnt do it for me..looks a bit out of his depth at times and his tackling is woeful. Don't mean to be too hard on him but I cannot see him taking us to another level.

  4. I would say don't change it but we have Stoke next, Suso would get bullied!

For Stoke I'd say Sterling in for Suso and Henderson in for Shelvey. It will be a VERY tough game, but if we can nick a win like we did at West Ham it would certainly make up for the Villa game.

I think suso needs to put the ball in the net that first time and he'll be a helluva player. Don't rule out Henderson in the Shelvey role either. So far he's mainly been tied to the right flank, but I think with that engine he'd be an ideal foil to Gerrard, a box-to-box fetcher-carrier.

let's hope everyone except the back four get some degree of rotation, assuming we get a striker to enable us to rest Suarez too.

It was boring and so one-sided. I LOVED IT and will be more than willing to watch the same performance and result for the rest of the season. Only problems - I predicted 3 - 0 with johnson scoring!!!!

  9. I think Rodgers had one eye on the Stoke game today, we will see Sterling and Allen return to the team IMO

It's a shame we're so inconsistent really, still though, 5 points off third (Chelsea have two games in hand) It could of been a lot, lot worse. I'm not going to raise my expectations, though. Let's take it one game at a time, Stoke next, I'd take a point.

    I hope not!

I do not see how Allen fits into this system. He can't be the sweeper midfield, not good enough, he can't pass the ball around like Gerrard or get on the end of balls in the box, not good enough, and he isn't the attacking creative player or box to box tye like Sahin or Hendo. He just...does nothing.

Lucas, Gerrard and Hendo or Sahin/Suso for me. Allen can stay on the bench until to finds a role in the midfield.

Wasn't one of his better games. I think Suso should get a run there. It's his best position and he doesn't seem comfortable playing on the wing. He might not have the goalscoring touch yet but I think he's got a lot of skill and would be a bit more creative than Shelvey and Shelvey doesn't score in the league anyway

Great result today! I have wanted to see this line-up for weeks.
We have suffered defensively down our left since Hamann, only Maxi gave us any stability on that side (2 defeats in 19) and he really wasn't good enough. Now we are under pressure whenever Allen plays, particularly in combination with 'give the ball away' Sterling (his great potential is obvious, of course) or the ineffective Cole. Fulham had 2 half chances in 70 minutes before the substitutions today and 4 in the time remaining, enough said.

I've worked it out now, Downing scored cause he was up against Riise. Riise wanted to do something nice for his old club. :p

    And because Fulham were ****
