Well Wenger made those changes to keep them from scoring, I think going for at least 1 more goal would have been better.
We have basically handed the incentive to Wigan to attack us with our subs, and have stifled our own attack by the two subs, we have no wing men out there right now. Sagna had nobody to play to, so he just had to run. One of the worst tactical decisions I have seen in a long long time.
Not bring on 2 of our worst players for starters. If Gerv comes on as a cf, we then know that Wenger is actually a deep cover spurs mole, and hates us.
Yet since those 2 changes, our attack has completely gone silent, and Wigan are the ones doing the attacking.
How does Ramsey steady the midfield when he's playing out wide in a position that isn't naturally his?
Just like to see us keep some possession and pass it around, no need to try and bust a gut to get another goal, we just need to keep the ball for the next few minutes
He keeps the ball better than Oxo and tracks back. I'm no Ramsey lover but he is a committed lad, he'll run for the cause.
I think Wenger should bring on one of Ramsey or Coquelin, not both. It sends a negative message to bring two defensive-minded, keep ball midfielders on with a slender lead. Moving Cazorla out wide has all but nullified our attacking impetus too.
One thing is for sure if we don't get 3 points here it will be a clear case where the manager is at fault. We should have gone for another goal instead of trying to close shop IMO. As long as we get 3 points though, I don't care.
