SSN just announced that Ba has turned down an £80k / week offer from QPR. Great that we were going for him (if he stays fit!) but they actually stated he 'snubbed' the offer. Perhaps not completely surprising?
Might be the best offer he gets, the bigger clubs are wary of his dodgy knee. If he doesn't want us we certainly don't want him. Maybe one of our defenders will leave him a 'calling card' this afternoon...
His "Dodgy Knee" is nothing but a myth. I don't know why people have labeled him injury prone because he's missed about 2/3 games due to injury in over 2 years.
...his knee is down to having a potential problem which if does go will be career over and he himself when asked was like if it happens it happens. Newcastle themselves said they took a gamble and it paid off.
Unless our luck really has changed, we'd sign him and then he'd do his cruciate! "Well, Harry / Tony, do ya feel lucky? Well do ya?"
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...-goals-to-keep-place-in-squad-72703-32471031/ Papiss Cisse must get goals to keep place in squad Would they really let Ba go?
They seem to be resigned to his departure; have already offered £10m for Remy, which was rejected, according to their board.
The gamble on Ba was worth it a couple of years ago. Not so sure now, the odds on that knee going must shorten with every month that passes. Can't blame him going for the money in the circumstances.
On the other hand , he's greedy, selfish, disruptive, egotistical and an accident waiting to happen - Perfect for us!...
Not really. He worked very hard last season last season while Cisse was scoring, is not disruptive at all and rubishes all stupid news reports surrounding him on twitter. Greedy? Maybe a little.
So Ba's said no to an £80k pwk move to Rangers. Does that mean he wants more, doesn't fancy QPR or a bit of both? Either way that tells us all we need to know as far as I'm concerned. Next! (With Anelka almost there, it's good to see we're determined to get another striker in though. Can't see much coming from the prem in January tbh... Think we should be looking further afield.)
