I know there's all this about not wanting to rush a player back too quickly after an injury, but I can't see Besty getting much first team action next season (well..hopefully we'll be signing much better players) Wouldn't want him to aggravate his injury, and it would give a bigger chance for the youngsters to get games, but seeing Lover and Shola up front all the time it's making me miss Best... Thoughts?
Aye that's what I thought straight away haha. But they have quotes this time, that's new for them right?? haha I just got excited when Best was being talked about again...
Haven't bough the Sunday Sun in yonks. Used to get it for the local cricket scores but gave up on it.
Giving Ranger a start would be better, but it would be more comforting knowing Best was on the bench as back up, rather than say Shola.
Why not try 4-3-3 Tavs, Colo, Taylor, Enrique Nolan, Barton, Jonas Ranger, Kuqi, Airey Bench, Soder, Fergie, Vuckic, Best, Newton, Richardson
At the start of the season, who would have thought there would be a point in the season where we'd genuinely miss Leon Best!? Credit to the lad though for proving he can actually score goals. Reckon we'll get a shock from Xisco next season?
Was thinking this earlier myself!! Just to think, we could have had AC and Besty up front together... a good combo maybe? Doubt we'll ever get a shock from Xisco. Looks like he'll be off!
This a Wind up?? - the idea of a 4-3-3 is upon losing possession you fall back into a 4-5-1 . You think Ranger and Airey are going to come back and do there bit defensively? we'd effectively be defending outnumbered at all times. To say I disagree with this formation is an understatement. If one of the front 3 would come back and help out fair enough it could POSSIBLY work, but just couldn't see any of the 3 you suggest doing so.
