This should be a good match. Apparently Derby play attractive attacking football like us. I'm hoping we've got one or two big guns that can make the difference though, but should be a close one. After City I think my favourite team is probably Derby. They have bugger all money, but they get by with a good loyal manager who doesn't moan, but just gets on with his job. They have a good history, but their fans don't have the mouthy Leeds syndrome and their owners have stood by Cloughie through some tough times.
There making out has though they have a few doubts for this one but i would think most will play, losing Stockdale is a big blow to us and Bruce has fitted in well at centre half, then with Aluko still out "lets hope he will be back sooner rather than later" then thats three top players missing, we are just going to have to hope whoever comes in plays well, i think i would take the draw now
Talking about Aluko does anyone know when the Africa Cup of Nations squads are announced - with Aluko being injured (timely to a degree) hopefully he'll not get selected.
I want the win. We have faye and Mcshane so we should be fine. We have also been scoring without aluko so I think we can still bag a couple goals. This is the kind of game where Simpson needs to bag one. Stockdale leaving isn't good but all amos has to do is let in one less than we score. If we want to go up we need to take games where we have some adversity to work through.
I'd take a draw now. When ever I've seen them on Sky they've impressed me. They've young blonde centre midfield player called Will Hughes, he looks a real class act.
I think we will go 5-0 up then an asteroid will hit the ground and end the world just to piss everyone off If not the im going 3-2 to the tigers and hopefully there will be my fave chant of have you ever seen a tiger **** a ram shame i cant be there stupid work!!!
O'Brien, Roberts, Hughes, Bryson, & Sammon all doubts and Barker, Buxton & Ward all long term injuries i think
It's on 5live, but mysteriously Blackpool vs Wolves is also being played tonight. Apparently a boring mid table clash is more important than a top two contender against a play off hopeful, so Sky have opted for that instead. They'll learn sooner or later.
I could understand if it was two bigger clubs, but I wouldn't say Wolves have a bigger fanbase than Derby, or that ours is smaller than Blackpool's. Surely if you have two games that will attract a similar audience you'd go for the one between two teams in-and-around the play-offs and not two mid-table ones
we just need to limit the number of shots on goal they have and then our goalie situation shouldnt matter much
Seeing the team in print now, it doesn't seem so bad. It does feel like it's missing something though
Seriously?! Wow! Who are they? Are you including Oxley, as I don't think he's played Jakupovic, Amos, Stockdale, Guzan, Mannone, Duke... Then who?
