This article says that Swiss papers are reporting Kasami as considering his future at the Club and may be looking to move in January. Given all the observations made about him in other threads, I doubt if anybody will be surprised. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/121015/fulham-midfielder-could-be-set-january-move-183119
I'd be disappointed if he left, purely because he showed so much promise when he immediately joined us. He's gone well off the boil though, and that coupled with the lack of first-team appearances would make it unsurprising if he moved on in January.
To be honest, I'm taking this with a pinch of salt. Let's wait and see what happens between now and January.
I agree with Captain, but this also shows the lack of effort some times of the player. Kasami has a unique opportunity to demonstrate skills that will make Jol use him in the first team. We are much weaker than last season in the midfield and it seems that he has not impressed the coaching staff. Personally I would urge him to try harder....
Can anyone shed some light on his whereabouts? He's not played since the WBA game, I'm gagging for him to come into the side! From C58's report he didn't play the last U21s game. I'm slowly coming round to the idea that he's on his way out, but I desperately don't want it to be so!
I just wondered if he'd gone out on loan or something. The fact he's playing in reserves may suggest Jol wants to keep him close, but like you say Captain, he sounds like he has an attitude problem. Such a bad attitude that he's been banished from the senior squad.
Kasami posted this earlier today on his facebook - http://instagram.com/p/TgNzrmJVZo/ Guessing, but could be he's heading for Liverpool. He in fact started with Liverpool as a junior before joining Lazio as a 16 year old. While a long way off playing in the first team, he was selected by Switzerland at the youth level. However amid accusations about poor attitude and missing training sessions they dispatched him to the Swiss provincial club Bellinzona. He played well for them in the Swiss Super League and was picked up by Palermo within days of his 18th birthday who liked what they saw in the precocious, robust attacking midfielder. Kasami quickly made the Palermo first team and enjoyed a decent, if not outstanding, 2010/11 season and was on the point of being offered a 5 year contract when we popped up (almost out of the blue) and signed him in summer 2011. For £2.8m. Footnote: Kasami's agent, Mino Raiola, is also Jol's agent.
I unlike others do not rate this guy. I cannot recall seeing any sort of decent perfomance to base on however. Clearly does not have the talent or we'd be seeing him every week?
