3 games left... I'm 19th and 7 off Reading in 17th and 3 off QPR.... I then beat West Ham 2-1 and Reading and QPR lose... I'm 4 off Reading and level with QPR but I have the worse goal difference by a mile.... I then beat Fulham away 3-0 and QPR beat Reading 5-0... Now 1 point off Reading and level with QPR but with a worse goal difference which I can't claw back.... The last games... Southampton v Chelsea, QPR v West Ham, Sunderland v Reading... going to be too close...
Not sure I understand what you're asking, but are you saying there was a way to cheat last year which has been fixed this year? All I can say is you should get a feeder club in Croatia, because they only require two years until the player can get citizenship, which I believe is the shortest of any country. This will only work after July 1st 2013 though, as that's when they join the EU. If you're looking for a way to skip that waiting period, it sounds like the game may be foolproof this year.
I beat Chelsea 2-1... QPR drew with West Ham 1-1 but Reading won 2-1 at Sunderland so I'm relegated... Got 35 points in 18th but Reading got 36 in 17th
Yeah i've got one in croatia, I mean in last years the way round it was while your player was at the feeder club you could offer him a new contract (with the same terms he always accepts) and he'd pass his work permit 90% of the time upon accepting. However you can't offer a new contract this year it seems, so anyone who knows a way to get youth players to your club faster than the usual waiting period if you could tell me i'd be very grateful!
Yeah, it sounds like that feature of last year's game was a bug. It shouldn't have been possible. You're supposed to have to wait the entire time.
I've just appointed Robbie Savage as a coach! Now, that is not as stupid as it sounds as he has very good coaching stats.
Getting relegated with Saints is abysmal though. We're probably one of the easiest teams to manage and do well with on Fm2013
Back to the pentagon challenge. Quit my job at Sao Paulo after my awesome treble, spent about 10 months unemployed, which was quite reminiscent of my real life, before getting offered the job of South African side Kaizer Chiefs. They've given me £8m to spend, which was a nice surprise, so I need to build this squad into Champions League material, because they're a way off right now.
I'm getting slightly bored of my Saints save so have been thinking of giving the Pentagon Challenge a go myself if you don't mind? Didn't want it seeming like I was trying to piss on your metaphorical parade
That would certainly make this thread more interesting. I must say I do find managing Saints incredibly dull. See if you can do any better than I have. If you can win a Champions League before 2030, you'll be in the lead. Oh, and remember the rules: you must start with Sunday league reputation. If I could give you one tip, it would be to start in Europe. I know it seems like you should be going for the African or Asian Champions League first, but it's impossible to get any sort of a reputation in those obscure divisions.
please log in to view this image I am now in love with this formation. It won me everything with Sao Paulo, and I've won every game so far using it with Kaizer Chiefs. I shall use it everywhere from now on.
I quitted that save and started a new one with Southampton again.... Last time I was 18th with 35 points... this time 8th with 55 points and only 8 points off 4th! What the fark was I doing in the first save I did!? Anyway a good central defender I would reccommend... Ragnar Sigurdsson. Signed for £1 million and he made team of the year... absolute gem... got £25 mil to spend in the summer... need a striker... any opinions?
