Nothing wrong with an opinion Dai and I'm not critising you, just wondering what certain people think of your point of view. The ones I'm thinking of can't have read this yet. This poll is all about opinions and Michu came out top. The people who voted must think he's the best player so far, which is what it's all about. Come the end of the season there may well be a different result
yes its about opinions and i think there has been better players than michu who don't score goals but play better football. If i had to chose between Leon and Michu then it would be Leon as gives more impact to the side and when he don't play we are rubbish....Michu deserves to be up there at the top but not as the best player....
At least that constructive Dai and you make some very valid points. Leon for me is the lynchpin of the team. With him we are a better team, but that's just me
Goals create headlines. Best goal scorer, maybe. Best Player, no. I think there are harder working more technically gifted players in the premiership, who don't score many goals. But He has been fantastic no doubt about that.
that's what i mean....there is no doubt he is a great goalscorer but he has to have good players around him who gives him his chances in the first place and leon is one of the best in the premiership who can pass a ball at the right moment and spot on target....
I'm very pleased with this, good to see Michu getting recognition, he is without doubt the Premiership buy of the season, and while I take on board what Dai, and others have said, regarding him not being the best player, I have to disagree, as it's not the easiest of jobs up front making it look simple to knock them in, but that's what he has done so far. We all know how Graham has struggled, as did Pintado etc, etc. It takes a special player to be able to make it look simple, and that's what he's done, he lives and breathes, to hit the back of the net, and don't you forget it!....................
one point i will make to phils argument is that Michu is playing with less talented players than RVP, Rooney etc so maybe it is deserved
Did the poll ask "most talented player in the Prem"? No, it didn't. It asked for "player of the season so far" and when a 2m midfielder is top of the goal list in his maiden Prem season in a mid table team showing class and style with his elegant finishing capturing the hearts of most football fans then he damn well should be favorite to win "player of the season so far" and rightfully he won.

agree he could lose a few LB's but he does the business and i wish we had got him instead of danny at the time...
But Michu "does the business" more successfully than Grant Holt and he isn't even an out and out striker so that will put him ahead of the Norwich fat boy surely?
why call him fat boy??? He scores goals and can tackle and pass accurately something I wish Danny was good at. Anyone can score goals but you have to be an all round player who is good at all aspects of the game. Michu is not that good at tackling if you watch him but what he is good at is he can score with his feet and his head and he finds space where Danny don't, RVP has it all and has to be the best player in the premiership so far...
