Puffin Billy / Simonsig double for me. If that comes in I'll take a closer look at the bumper ....................... 7/2 for the Henderson horse feels massive but want to see it first
That was mightily impressive given that he was chasing a horse who jumped for fun. Puffin Billy could be a festival horse on that run.
Some talking horse Ardent! Bit disappointed with my earlier selection Rouge Et Blanc - or rather that no one seemed to think that AP's horse jumping right across REB at the last flight might be deemed interference. Maybe it's pocket talk and certainly nothing has been done - oh well, onwards and upwards )
Oliver Sherwood just confirmed Chelts is the target but will be entered over both 2 mile and 2.5 mile hurdles. He will also have another run before March.
Those who are on Simonsig for the Arkle will be wanting a good run here ....................... I'm not (on him for the Arkle, that is)
Thanks. It is pretty early in the season and racing on winter ground, it is tough to be too excited for totally different conditions.
11-4 for the Arkle now. Not with my money - he can win it, no doubt - but I'll wait and see what happens before then
Not as impressive as Overturn was on debut, but I think Hendo's horse will improve massively over fences. He was so easy to watch today. Impressive. Might be a festival horse.
Only bet so far today in the next at Ascot Ascot 3.05 Spanish Arch Should sit just behind the leaders and hopefully have enough to go past at the last.
Duaiseoir for me in the next, but at 18-1 I had a little ew flutter on Sunny Ledgend - even though it grates to back spelling mistakes
Interesting interview post race with Needle Nick. They are going to try Captain Conan at 2.5 miles on New Years day, and if he proves himself at that trip, they will probably drop Simmonsig back to 2 miles so as not to clash with each other. He does have 2 seriously good horses in these two
