Floods, Lenny taking in lots of animals and preparing his house? Sounds like a disaster on a bilblical scale is on it's way, what's the date tomorrow? Looks like you might need something more than wellies Theo...
I wondered if the world would be here when I woke up this morning and was relieved to see it was. However, I am now wonder it is the same world I went to sleep in. There are subtle differences. For a start I was shocked to see that Grimsby and Chelsea seem to have swapped leagues. Someone seems to have reformed them up the road and British America seems to be independent. The Mayans were right but not as we thought!
Evening all. Floods in Newhaven too. Almost needed to be carried into the hotel as the car park is under water. Just hope that when I wake up in the morning the car has not floated out to sea. <yikesS
evening all...it's gone midnight and i'm still here...so that's a good sign...no end of the world yet, yay! Hope everything is okay Theo. Crazy puddles to drive through today, always good to teach how to drive through swimming pools! out for dinner again tonight...i'm going to be a weeble by 1 January!
Morning all from a mild but (at the moment) dry Jersey. Pie, his brother and I are flying at lunchtime then getting the train (hopefully) from Gatwick to Watford then on to my Mum's house where we're staying until the day after the Brighton game. Pie and I will be at the game tomorrow (in the Rookery), so it might be nice to see some of you, but with the Rookery looking like it's going to be packed if the map of available seating when I booked our tickets is anything to go by, it might be a needle in a haystack job.
Sæll öll. I am thinking you are all stopping for christmas so no coffee and tea today. Only glögg. Except for OFH if he is still driving and I have a very strong black coffee for him.
Morning all from a brightening bandit country - I will be glad to pass the Solstice and the days start getting longer! Unless them Mayan's were correct, in which case it does not really matter Good idea on the Glögg AK - fine for me.
Morning from a bright and sunny eastern bandit country. A lot of fields around are now flooded but in general we're never in too much danger. Hope Theo is ok and OFH car has not deep-sixed? Only a couple of presents left to get and then I can officially stop and try to enjoy Christmas.
today is the day...i'm as fat as a barge now! Start running today as well, as part of my run training..going to be a good day in the garage!
morning all ...celebrating Young Mr H's birthday today as he missed it on Monday lol, so takeaway tonight..and out for lunch with a good friend for Christmas so it's another food ridden day but at least it's salad for lunch! Looks decidedly yucky out there today...and i've suddenly realised i'm a present short...that one might have to wait! Have a good day all, off to wear myself out on the treadmill and bike before lunch Laters!
Morning all No rain...though more is on its way. Could be an interesting drive tomorrow. I've always resisted the idea of a 4x4 but I almost understand why people who live round here swear by them.
For those waiting for the apocalypse on the 21st - don't forget that it is still the 21st in the Western Pacific (to the east of the International Date Line) until 12 noon tomorrow GMT.........
Yes but it is supposed to be at 11 a.m central US time so we are about safe now I think - I might leave popping out to Tesco for another hour or two though just in case
