This makes me sick as a parrot. I mean he could invest £100 million in the club (for players and youth) and it be 1/3 of his annual earnings.

Makes me concerned about what his actual intentions are with the club. Its not like he is ever going to make money out of the club on a scale compared to what he made in the last year.

But a few greggs outlets in the stadium wouldnt go a miss!

Yeah you would think the fat bastard would spend at least 100 million on players and put us right up the top instead of piss farting around

He's got no obligation to put any more of his own money into the club.

Secondly, the club had 'big spending' in the past and ended up with a crap team full of guys who just wanted big wages - Do you really want to go back to those days?

    this.

But he could at least buy a few top players to turn us into a European team, rathet than a mid-table Prem team.

He could also invest in the youth academy, facilities etc.

Manchester City have stink loads of cash to burn and they are scraping fourth. Not a great deal of team spirit there either - I would want Ashley to invest more money into the club but not to the stupid extent that Citeh have.

You do have to wonder though, if Ashley is so ****ing minted why did he sell Andy Carroll? To balance the books? <laugh> ...

yea he should be doing exactly this! Heard they are installing under ground heating at the training ground though which is good (especially with the amount of injuries we seem to get) .. more of this and 3 signings to improve the first team I'll be happy!

To invest back into the club. To make the club pay for itself and anything he invests to be a bonus and not something necessary to run the club. £35m for a player in his first full season in the Premiership who was carrying an injury. He's played about 5 games since leaving us.
