If we use the 60-70 appearance bracket for Gillingham strikers with Kedwell's 25 goals, only 2 have a better record than Kedwell...Ade Akinbiyi and Robert Taylor!! Andy Thomson managed 22 in 69...below the record of Kedwell!! I would also say, in my opinion, that Kedwell's work rate is far superior than any of the players named!!
If you read it properly I said based on 60-70 appearances bracket! 43 is not between 60-70 appearances!

What is interesting in the video of Cody's goals is the very few that were assisted by Akinfenwa - who, some have said was the reason why Cody scored so many goals. Don't get me wrong - I will admit that there was an understanding between Cody & Bayo - and it was a joy to watch - but if you look at the number of goals that Cody made for himself or was assisted by others in the side - it is obvious that he is a natural striker, and will score goals with the right service - be that from someone like Kedwell or from crosses by Weston etc. - I would have Cody back any time.
I cannot argue with any of that, I thought Cody was good but looking back at the video it just reminded me how good. Guess I'm wrong about how much influence Bayo had on that evidence but you cannot deny his lovely little flick on's are still a delight to watch. Also I thought Bayo's postioning was critical in some of the goals by drawing defenders in and giving Cody space. Much the same as I was saying in another thread in regards to what Keds should be doing with Myles Weston in a free role.
