AllHell - sorry correction, no I did not mean Simon King, although I still have my doubts on his recovery. Although change has to be made, no matter how painful it will be.
HOADIE - posting your own multiple links to your own threads, on a thread that you are not the author of, is a form of spamming. It's different if it is part of a topic or general banter & humour. i.e. if I started to post links to my prediction league into other people's threads, I would expect them to be right hacked off. Never mind, you obviously didn't know, I'll cool down and offer a drink... please log in to view this image
I am sorry brb if I offended you on this, I will not do something like that again, Thanks for the drink.
I have made a post already on the Gills board so that people on here see about it and go on to it so no need.
I've not had a chance to see King play in the brief number of appearances he's had this season. What has he been like? I hope that he can get a full pre-season under his belt in the summer and can hopefully be back to what he was before his injury. I think if he played last season we would have probably have stayed in League 1
He does not appear to be lasting the course at the moment, against Macclesfield can't say I really noticed him, I just kept seeing them goals passing Julian and watching Richards & Sinclair in no man's land.
Well that's just my opinion, I think the biggest mistake I made this season, was really under rating Lawrence at the beginning...I got that one wrong! What I can't make out, is what happened to Jack Payne near the end of the season, why was he on the bench? Maybe after the Barnet game?
For me King didn't look confident, seemed nervous in the tackle, positioning bad, very slow across the ground. All of the above might just be that he's rusty and will improve with time, I have however seen many players who never quite make it back after a long term injury. Danny Spiller)
I hope King makes it, can't wait now to see what Hessy & Chairman Scally do in pre season. At least for the new season, we shouldn't be building on a new management structure and can concentrate pre season, on the job required in building the team Hessy needs. I'm feeling more positive today, then I did this time last season, so just hope we are not disappointed. grumpy... please log in to view this image
That's my point Hoadie, not as good as before. Remember he was highly rated in the Championship before his injury, now he just ok. in league 2.
