Played 32 matches for Lille, 4 goals and 2 assists. We're talking about mighty French league. No thanks

By this I take it that you mean you spend most of your time licking your balls and sniffing a*eholes! Only joking before you report to the Rockers.

If there should be any point in bringing in reinforcements during the January window with a view to saving our a***, they would need to be experienced and know the Premier League. Any new recruits need to hit the ground running, no time for this gel ****.

Initially Joe Cole is a no for me. But if it is as a replacement for Adel (if he goes to Africa), it could work. Only as a six month loan initially, with maybe a view to a one year contract if he performs. Cole is a different player played centrally compared to being wasted on the wing. One of the most creative players in the Prem.

Ideally we should look to bring in players that Harry has worked succesfully with in the past, as this represents less of a risk and a bigger chance for success. First two on my list are both English, Crouch and Dawson. And I'd like to see us bring in either Cole or Etherington to complement our midfield. With DJ hopefully coming back and Zamora back in Jan I think we're set in attack.

I think Cole could be a good bit of short term business...I feel confident Harry would get a good innings out of him and he would make every effort to impress with a good run of games and a potential England recall...optimistic maybe, but could work out well for us

Definitely Anelka over Crouch if it's until the end of the season, he's an idiot but still quick and scores goals.

As for Joe Cole words fail me. Did his mum drop him on his head a lot as a baby?

This is more of a QPR level of player right here, replacement for Taarabt perhaps?

Doubt he would be coming in to replace Adel, more likely Granero at the moment...to be fair, the closer we get to January the more nervous I get that Adel could be off somewhere higher up the league or somewhere the sun shines a bit more, so who knows...soon find out I guess.

In comparison to who? Not sure what you are getting at...

crouch????....never understood the attraction but clearly brighter football brains than mine see something at both club and international level - complete mystery and only in England would he have played so many intl and top flight games..... Gormless giraffe who scores mostly lucky goals against weak opposition and is virtually pointless for 99% of the time he is on the pitch. Also due to his huge limitations as a footballer it forces teams to play a certain way which seems counter to what Arry is trying to do. Really don't see him as an upgrade and would take HH back 10 times out 10 rather than him

completely disagree with you...crouch on form is a good player imo...sure there is better, but he has far more skill that given credit for

Guess we agree to disagree - I think he's got a lot less skill than he's given credit for!!

I'd take Crouch, even at 31. But why would Stoke sell him? He signed a 4 year contract last year

In comparison to the other players people on this forum are mentioning like Remy and Dzeko.

Oh god no. Even if we're clear of relegation in january, if we start signing more players of the nature which have left us in this mess, i'll be thoroughly depressed.
