I'm thinking the same mate. Probably will try to get there around 1230pm to try to guarantee a parking space. Where do you normally park....sounds like you approach the same way as me.
Why are they directing people through Greenford for the North Circular? Why can't we just go off the A40 and then back on? The North Circular, which I need to get to West Hampstead is miles further up. HELP?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a lazy bastard Col, and usually pay £5-8 to park in Westfield. For the Villa game it was impossible to get into, but managed to find a spot at the Goldhawk Road end of Conningham Road. Complete pig to get away from though. I'm assuming Westfield will be rammed on Wednesday, and given the A40 stuff may risk the M25 and come in via M4, try to find somewhere to park Hammersmith side and wander up . Nightmare.
I know for sure theres none from where I am, maybe a few lines are open but Id double check just to be sure. A few years ago the online site said there were trains and it was a mistake. Maybe they opened a few lines around London due to the tube strike.
It isn't in fact tubes out it's by far the quickest and the cheapest ... I sometimes get a taxi to LR but getting one back isn't guaranteed when you will have a 15K outfall. Nice cycle in the morning and drop off the bike: West Hampstead Underground Station to Shepherd's Bush Market 36 minutes so just over the free period should cost you three quid
PARKING Turn right off A40 before White City, down Old Oak Lane, either 2nd left into Steventon Road, can park there in the bays for free on a Bank holiday, 10-15 min walk to ground, down pass the old Guiness Homing buildings. Can turn also 3rd??? left off old oak lane too, but cannot think of the name of the street, all free parking...but limited spaces
