Exactly We have underachieved. But only during the course of the season. We'd ave guarenteed a play off position with Sven in for the season (based on his points per game record) Looking forward to a more settled side now after a busy transfer window. Next season is our time.
Do you normally get higher crowds on Boxing Day than for the last game of the season? Or for your so-called derbies with Coventry, Forest and Derby?
Our highest ever attendance at the Walkers was against Newcastle on Boxing Day. We get around 27-31k for derbies but this season we played Forest on a monday night on Sky with it snowing so we got about 28k Who is Leed's derby? Sheffield? Hull? Doncaster?
Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Sheff Utd. I guess Sheff Utd would be the derby as it's more of a local rivalry.

Boxing Day crowds are usually the largest for most Clubs along with derbies unless you have something to play for on the last day.
We usually get a larger attendance on the last day than Boxing Day regardless of whether there's something riding on it. 13 Championship clubs recorded their highest attendance this season against Leeds and every club's attendance against Leeds was up on their average. You might as well just admit that Leicester fans see us as a big draw and a spicy sort of match, or were the other 12 clubs all under special circumstances too? Our biggest rivals in this division are Millwall and Cardiff I suppose, you asked about derbies in general. Sadly circumstances mean that we can't experience the teams we actually consider rivals. I'd say Forest and Derby are probably more important to us than Hull and other teams from Yorkshire who aren't from WY or Sheffield. Out of those if it were a Saturday 15:00 kick off, I think Millwall would probably get the biggest attendance.
I personally, and all the people who I sit with for that matter, find Boxing Day matches have a special atmosphere. Although the Leeds game this season was a good match, it wasn't spicy or special. We also won three on the trott before hand. Also Grayson and Gradel we're back. Two Leicester lads. Adding to the fact we we're all excited with Sven at the helm. He was bringing in loan players such as Craig Davies and Roman Bednar. Plus kids get tickets as christmas gifts, I know quite a lot of families that went that day. Basically it was luck that we played Leeds that day. I'm sure the attendance next season will be our average 24-25k.
If it wasn't on boxing day the att would be 26ish. Nobody likes Leeds and it's always a good atmosphere at games with you so it will be a bigger draw than the average side. Also you sell more of the away end than most teams. Derby, Coventry and Forest's away support is atrocious, not to mention Doncaster and Scunthorpe's.
Why? Although we often play you on important occaisions. If we play you at home next season when we played you away this season then it'd be average. We're not rivals with you, I think it may just be the general 'everyone hates Leeds'. Plus we always beat you.

I thought for a club to have a derby/rival that it had to be reciprocal. I may be putting my neck on the line here but im sure Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool do not consider you a rival/derby. In fact i bet they dont even consider you.
