An away trip to prague, I was praying for either Ajax or Sparta Prague we could be playing both! Great couple of away trips there.
Lyon are a very good side and have great European pedigree consistently reaching the knockout stages of CL
Lyon are more than good enough to beat Spurs, especially as the 2nd leg is in Lyonnais. I'd make Lyon favourites but only just.
Exactly, quality side but not a foregone conclusion like Arsenal v Bayern. I'd give Liverpool a decent chance of getting through too. They'll have f- all else to play for by the time these fixtures come around.
In fairness your right, there are a lot more variables in the Europa League. Arsenal v Bayern & United v Madrid are gimme's though.
Your concept of why clubs play football is amusing, try actually winning a trophy or is that to much of an old fashioned idea in the minds of Tottenham supporters.
Clubs play for money as do players. Try not to get distracted with talk of trophies(sorry, trophy) I know it might hurt to think about but if things continue for Liverpool as they have done you'll be closer to the relegation battle than 4th.
Supporters on the other hand spend their money on watching their club in the hope they win silverware, or are you saying that you're happy to never see Spurs ever win a trophy as long as they finish top 4? Seems like Spurs fans have forgotten the joyous feeling of seeing their captain raise a trophy.
Honestly DL I do not see it the same way. Spuds and 'Pool are in with a decent chance imo. Arsenal I think have a real tough draw and I can't see them progressing.
If the 2nd leg was at Anfield I'd give Liverpool a better chance. I'd rather Spurs go through if we progress in the competition. In the event that we were to draw an English club I'd feel much more confident against Spurs than I would Newcastle or Liverpool. It would be nice to lock horns with Liverpool in Europe again, been too long. I'm going to post the fixture list on here of all English clubs between the ties.
